KCET 2022 Biology Paper Analysis by Expert

Dr. Milind Chippalakatti, Deeksha’s National Head of Knowledge Management, stated, “Overall, the paper was simple. An average student should expect to receive 30-35 points out of a possible 60 points. Only a few questions were challenging. There were no off-topic questions, and all were structured according to the NCERT textbook. It was also easier than last year because the questions were memory and conceptual in nature. This year, there were no Assertion Reasoning or statement-based questions. The question paper included no errors.”

KCET Student Reaction: KCET 2018 Paper Analysis

  • KCET 2018 was successfully held on April 18 and 19 in pen and paper mode.
  • The fact that the OMR Sheets came with pre-filled information such as name, hall ticket number, and question paper version code was a pleasant surprise for all candidates.
  • The previous 15-minute pre-exam period for filling out details was cut to just 10 minutes.
  • Biology and Mathematics were set for April 18, with Physics and Chemistry scheduled for the following day.

Day 1 – KCET Exam Analysis 2018

Mathematics: According to several experts, the paper was easy to solve and the majority of the questions were from the prescribed syllabus of first and second year PUC. According to the responses of multiple students, 40 questions were classified as easy, 15 as medium level, and 5 as challenging.

Biology: The vast majority of questions (almost 75 percent) were from the class 12th syllabus, while only 15 were from the class 11th syllabus. Again, the questions were focused solely on the first and second years of the PUC curriculum. The paper was not very long, and an attempt of 45 to 50 questions may be judged adequate.

In general, both papers were of simple to moderate complexity.

Overall, both the papers were of easy to moderate difficulty level without too many tricky questions.

Day 2 –KCET Exam Analysis 2018

Physics: The Physics Paper, like the Biology Paper, was dominated by topics from the second year PUC curriculum. A well-prepared student might easily answer 80-85% of the questions correctly. However, several candidates indicated that as many as 10% of the questions are challenging. However, no major problems are anticipated because all questions are well within the curriculum of two years of PUC.

Chemistry: According to the candidates, the Chemistry paper was equally balanced to benefit all applicants. The majority of the questions were conceptual and simple to answer. This year’s examination had a large number of numerical questions. The paper had 17 questions from the first year PUC Curriculum and the remainder from the second year PUC Curriculum.

KCET Student Reaction: KCET 2017 Paper Analysis

Based on previous year’s patterns, the total study concluded that the exam was more challenging than predicted, with 60 questions to be answered in 80 minutes. Candidates have to work hard this year to earn decent grades.

This analysis will provide some information about the main areas that should be focused as well as the exam level.

Physics: “The exam was well-structured,” A fantastic mix of intellectual and application-based problems. Only electrostatics was thought to be difficult.” This is a candidate’s reaction to the subject.

Chemistry: This year’s paper was difficult in comparison to other sections. Experts believe that a well-prepared student will usually succeed. Looking back on the previous year, one should not take any chances and should study properly by practising more conceptual questions than application-based problems.

Mathematics: Surprisingly, Mathematics was the easiest of them. Any applicant who has prepared thoroughly had a good chance of doing well on this paper.
