KEAM Counselling 2022: Check Counselling Procedure

KEAM Counselling 2022: The KEAM 2022 counselling registration closed for the first phase on September 20, 2022 (10 a.m.). The first KEAM 2022 seat allotment list was released on September 22 and the second list on September 29, 2022. Candidates will be assigned seats through counselling, and seat allotment will need to pay the prescribed fee and visit the allotted college for document verification for the admission procedure.

Candidates must note that only those who are selected from the KEAM rank list 2022 will be eligible for the counselling procedure. Also, KEAM seat allocation will be based on the rank list, the choices entered by candidates, and the availability of seats. KEAM 2022 Counselling Procedure: Steps To Take Part in Counselling

The KEAM counselling process involves five stages which are as follows:

  • 1st Stage: Registration
  • 2nd Stage: Choice Filling and Filtering
  • 3rd Stage: Trial Allotment
  • 4th Stage: Seat Allotment
  • 5th Stage: Document Verification

Let us now look into each of these stages in detail:

1st Stage: KEAM Counselling Registration

The first stage of KEAM 2022 counselling is the counselling registration stage at the official website. Here are the steps candidates can follow to register for the exam:

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website of CEE – cee.kerala.gov.in.
  • 2nd Step: Click on “KEAM 2022 Candidate Portal”.
  • 3rd Step: Candidates can log in to the website by providing their “Roll Number” and “Application Number”.
  • 4th Step: Candidates will be led to the “Online Registration” page. Here they will have to provide their 16 digits alphanumeric code (key number mentioned on the security card) and password to start with their KEAM counselling registration process in 2022.

2nd Stage: Choice Filling And Filtering

  • 5th Step: After logging in, the list of participating colleges and the available courses will appear on the screen.
  • 6th Step: Select the colleges and courses in the order of preference.
  • 7th Step: Click on “Save”.
  • 8th Step: Candidates should filter their choices with the “Edit” button. They can drop or add a course as per their preference.
  • 9th Step: Click on “Submit” to submit the final choices.
  • 10th Step: Take a printout and keep it for future reference.

3rd Stage: Trial Allotment

  • CEE authorities have announced the KEAM 2022 trial allotment of seats.
  • It will give candidates an idea about the colleges and courses they are likely to get admission to specifically.
  • The trial allotment of seats is not final.

4th Stage: Seat Allotment

  • Engineering College Under Kerala Agricultural University.
  • Engineering Colleges Under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University.
  • Engineering Colleges Under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies.
  • Government Controlled/University Controlled Self-financing Engineering Colleges.
  • Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges under Kerala Catholic Engineering College Managements Association (KCECMA).
  • Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges under Kerala Self Financing Engineering College Managements Association (KSFECMA).
  • Private Self-financing Architecture Colleges under the Architecture College Management Association (ACMA) VIII 9. Government Pharmacy Colleges.

Note: The CEE will release the final list of the participating colleges in the counselling process of KEAM 2022 before the start of the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).

5th Stage: Document Verification

As a part of the admission process, candidates will have to report to their allotted colleges and get their documents verified. Candidates will have to carry the following documents for their admission process:

  • KEAM admit card 2022.
  • KEAM result 2022.
  • Date of Birth Proof.
  • KEAM 2022 application fee receipt
  • Allotment Memo.
  • 10 + 2 Marksheet or Certificate.
  • Eligibility Certificate (If Applicable).
  • Conduct Certificate issued by last attended institute.
  • Transfer Certificate issued by last attended institute.
  • Physical fitness Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate (If Applicable).

KEAM 2022 Seat Allotment Phase 1 – Reservation of Seats

Below-given is the seat break-up percentage as per mandatory reservation:

(2) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) – 30%
* Ezhava (EZ) – 9%
* Muslim (MU) – 8%
* Other Backward Hindu (BH) – 3%
* Latin Catholic and Anglo Indian (LA) – 3%
* Dheevara and related communities (DV) – 2%
* Viswakarma and related communities (VK) – 2%
* Kusavan and related communities (KN) – 1%
* Other Backward Christian (BX) – 1%
* Kudumbi (KU) – 1%
(3) Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes – 10%
(4) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in General Category – 10%
  • The final seat allotment will be done through Centralised Process Allotment (CAP)
  • An allotment memo will be generated for the selected candidates. The memo will comprise details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, allotted course & college, the category of allotment, and the fee details.
  • Candidates must pay the fees online or offline (at the specified post office).
  • The confirmation of admission will be done only after the candidates report to the institute.

Please note that the final allocation of seats will be based on the rank obtained by the candidates, course preferences and reservation of the candidates.
