NIOS Exam Registration Procedure for Stream 2
Please note the following points regarding NIOS Stream 2 admissions:
Stream 2 is not for regular candidates. Admission is open for all unsuccessful students (who did not pass) of Class 10 and 12 from any recognized board.
Candidates wishing to get admission in NIOS Stream 2 can avail of the Transfer of Credit (TOC) facility for up to a maximum of 2 subjects from the parent board.
Also, they must have passed the subjects with 33% marks or equivalent grades.

NIOS Exam Registration: Eligibility Criteria
Students seeking admission into NIOS must meet the NIOS eligibility criteria specified by the officials. If at any stage it is found that they do not meet the eligibility criteria, their registration is liable to be cancelled.
NIOS Eligibility Criteria for Stream 1
The eligibility criteria for securing admission in Secondary as well as Higher Secondary for Stream 1 candidates are listed below:
Secondary or Class 10
Students must have passed Class 8, and the candidate’s minimum age must be 14 years.
A learner giving a self-certificate stating, “I have studied enough to be able to pursue a secondary course”, is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course.
A learner who has studied at the secondary level can also seek admission to NIOS to complete his course or improve his performance.
Higher Secondary or Class 12
The minimum age to take admission in the Senior Secondary Course is 15 years as of 31st January 2020 (born on or before 31/01/2004).
The learner must have passed the Secondary course from a recognized Board.
NIOS Eligibility Criteria for Stream 2
All those candidates who are not eligible for Stream 1 can secure admission to NIOS Stream 2. They must be above 14 years of age for Class 10 and above 15 years of age for Class 12 admissions.
Documents Required for NIOS Admission
The student enrolling for NIOS 2023 admission must upload a scanned copy of the papers. These documents serve as proof of eligibility for admission to the NIOS 10th or 12th class. Candidates who submit all essential papers in jpg or jpeg format will receive their NIOS admit card 2023.

Aadhaar card, passport, ration card, or another kind of identification.
For proof of date of birth, obtain a birth certificate.

Students can visit the official website directly, that is sdmis.nios.ac.in to register themselves.
Candidates can visit the nearest study or faculty centre to register.

Once the candidate is registered, the NIOS Admission is valid for five years, and a student can take 9 or less than 9 chances to complete the course in this period.

Steps for Cancellation of NIOS Admission
The officials will cancel the admission if following issues exists in the application process of the candidates:
Incorrect or incomplete admission form
Complete fees not paid
Candidate do not fulfill the eligibility criteria
Candidate has submitted the wrong documents
If there is any wrong information found in the application
Once the admission is cancelled, then it will be not re-considered and the fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
NIOS Admission Confirmation
