SSC CGL Nationality 2022

The SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria for Nationality requires a candidate to be a resident of only the countries listed below. An applicant must meet at least one of the following requirements:

  • A citizen of India
  • A citizen of Nepal
  • A citizen of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee settled in India before January 01, 1962
  • Indian by origin, who has migrated to Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam, intending to stay permanently in India.

Note: The official notification reads, “A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination, but the offer of appointment will be given only after the eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.”
