According to the latest notification, the SSC CGL exam has four exam levels, namely, Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV.

Important Points

  1. The maximum time duration to complete the test is 2 hours for each paper.
  2. The time duration for candidates eligible for scribe is 2 hours 40 minutes
  3. SSC CGL negative marking for Tier 2 is 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper 2. Whereas, for Paper 1, 3, and 4, 0.5 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer.
  4. Two marks are awarded for every correct answer in Paper I, III, and IV.
  5. One mark is awarded for every correct answer in Paper-II.

SSC CGL Paper Pattern 2022 for Tier 3

The exam pattern for the SSC CGL Tier 3 exam is given below:

Important Points

  1. A total of 100 marks is allocated for this stage, and the maximum time to complete the test is 60 minutes.
  2. The time duration for candidates who are eligible for scribe is 1 hour 20 minutes
  3. The paper will be written either in Hindi or English. If partly written in Hindi and English, will be awarded zero marks.
  4. Candidates must write their roll number at the prescribed space on the answer book. Also, put the signature or thumb impression in the relevant place given. The answer book with no signature and thumb impression will be awarded zero marks.
  5. Candidates should not write any personal identity, e.g., name, roll number, address, or mobile number inside the answer book. If candidates are caught not adhering to the instructions will be awarded zero marks, and their candidature will be rejected.
  6. The minimum qualifying mark is 33 percent.

SSC CGL Paper Pattern 2022 for Tier 4

The SSC CGL Tier IV will be a Skill Test. Depending on the post applied, this may include Computer Proficiency Test and Data Entry Skill Test.

Data Entry Skill Test: In this test, candidates must type 2000 words in 15 minutes on a computer in English. Check the following key points:

  1. Candidates appearing for the post of Tax Assistants should carry out a Data Entry Speed Test at 8000 Key depression per hour on a computer.
  2. The Data Entry Speed Test Skill Test will be conducted for a passage of about 2000 key depressions for 15 minutes.
  3. This test will be qualifying in nature.
  4. The commission at the exam centre will provide computers.
  5. The skill test will be conducted in the regional office.
  6. Instructions will be provided to the candidates regarding the skill test by the commission.

  9. OH, candidates opting for the post of Tax Assistants in CBDT need not appear for skill tests provided a medical certificate is submitted to the commission.

  11. PwD candidates will be given extra 5 minutes to complete the skill test.

Computer Proficiency Test: This test is conducted to check a candidate’s proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Generation of Slides. Check the following points :

  1. The commission will conduct CPT for three modules; (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spreadsheet, and (iii) Generation of Slides
  2. The duration of each module will be 15 minutes and will be conducted one after the other.
  3. Module I comprises a skill test for a passage of about 2000 key depressions.
  4. Module II comprises a spreadsheet.
  5. Module III comprises PowerPoint presentations.
  6. The CPT will be conducted as decided by the commission for the purpose.
  7. CPT is qualifying in nature. Candidates should qualify in all the modules to get selected for the next stage of the selection process.
  8. PWD Candidates will be given an additional 5 minutes in CPT.

SSC CGL 2022: Document Verification

Candidates need to carry original as well as photocopy of documents for verification. The ID proof documents are as follows:
