SSC CGL ASO Admit Card 2022

Every successfully registered candidate will be able to download their admit card/hall ticket/call letter from the official website of SSC. The admit card for the CGL Tier-1 exam will be released first, followed by the CGL Tier-2 exam (available to only those candidates who qualify for the Tier-1 exam).

  • The candidate’s selection process involves four stages: Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4. All four stages are qualifying in nature.

Section Officer: The promotion of an ASO to a Section Officer (4800) usually takes 5 to 7 years. The ASO is allowed to promote them through an Inter-Department exam. UPSC conducts the examination. If the candidates fail the exam, they will be given another chance to promote themselves in the next 5 to 7 years. 

Section Officer: A Section Officer (4800) gets promoted to Section officer (5400) after completing at least 4 years of service. 

Under Secretary: The Section Officer is given a chance to promote themselves to Under Secretary promotions. The Section Officer (5400) to Under Secretary promotions are also fast due to the large strength of the Under Secretary Cadre and no direct recruitment in this cadre. So, it takes a minimum of 4 years and a maximum of 6 years for SO (5400) to become the US (6600).

Deputy Secretary/ Director: Based on the performance in the job as Under Secretary, one can be promoted as a Deputy Secretary or Director.
