SSC Stenographer 2022 Eligibility
Every candidate must meet the SSC Stenographer eligibility criteria as specified in the SSC Stenographer notification 2022. Let’s look at the important eligibility criteria below:
Candidates must be Indian Citizens or any of the following categories:
A Subject of Nepal, or
A Subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that, such candidates, except Indian citizens, must produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India at the time of appointment for their eligibility.

SSC Stenographer Application Process consists of three stages namely, ‘Online Registration’, ‘Filling of Application Form’, and ‘Fee Payment’. Check the steps to apply online for SSC Stenographer 2021-22 below:
SSC Stenographer Exam Online Registration
1st Step: Visit the official website – ssc.nic.in. 2nd Step: Click on the link ‘Register Now’ present on the right-hand side of the page (if candidates have not registered before on the SSC website). 3rd Step: Enter the basic details such as ‘Name’, ‘Mobile Number’, ‘Email ID’, ‘Date of Birth’, and other necessary details. Submit the details. 4th Step: A ‘Registration Number’ and ‘Password’ will be generated, and the same will be sent to the registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
Fill out SSC Stenographer Application Form
Log in using the ‘Registration Number’/‘User Name’ and ‘Password’. Change the password after the first Login.
Fill out the application form with Personal, Educational, Contact, and other details.
Upload the scanned copy of the Photograph and Signature in the prescribed formats and sizes.
Preview the application form and edit the details if necessary. No changes will be allowed once the application form is submitted.
Click on ‘Final Submit’ and an OTP will be sent to the Registered Mobile Number and Email ID. Verify the OTP to submit the application.
SSC Stenographer Exam Fee Payment
Choose the fee payment option. Fees can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at the SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Stenography Skill Test
The SSC Stenographer computer-based exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the skill test. The stenography skill test is qualifying in nature, and the marks scored in the skill test are not considered for final selection.

The SSC Stenographer selection process involves two stages. The first stage is the Online Test comprising MCQs. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the Skill Test to test their stenography skills.
SSC will release the SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2022 on its official regional website. Aspirants will be able to download the admit card for their respective regions by using their Registration ID and Date of Birth. Please keep in mind that the SSC will not send any hard copy of the admit card by post. Candidates will have to visit the regional SSC websites to download the call letter.
