Only those who passed the SSC Stenographer CBT test will be eligible to take the Shorthand Skill Test. For Grade D and Grade C, candidates will be given an 800-word passage and a 1000-word passage, respectively. The SSC Stenographer exam 2023 will have a 200-mark question paper. The exam pattern can be determined from the table below:

Candidates will be given 10-minute dictations in English and Hindi to note down. The expected speed is 100 words per minute for Stenographer Grade C posts and 80 words per minute for Grade D posts.
