UPSC CMS Application Form 2022: Fee, Eligibility, Dates

UPSC CMS Application Form 2022: UPSC will release the Combined Medical Service (CMS) Application Form 2022 online on its official website. The UPSC CMS Online Application Process is expected to start from April 06 to 26, 2022, at upsc.gov.in. Candidates must submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) with scanned copies of all the documents mentioned in the UPSC CMS Notification. The UPSC CMS 2022 CBT is expected to be conducted on July 17, 2022. After clearing the CBT, candidates will be called for the interview process. Candidates have to present the original certificates on the day of the UPSC CMS interview.

UPSC CMS 2022 vacancies will be announced for Category I and Category II has been announced for various posts such as Junior Scale Post, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer, Assistant Medical Officer, General Duty Medical Officer, General Duty Medical Officer Gr-II, etc. UPSC also provides the application withdrawal facility for candidates who have filled the CMS Application Form but are not willing to appear for the test. UPSC CMS Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below will be shortlisted for the CMS selection process:

  1. Nationality: The candidate must either be –
    (a) a citizen of India
    (b) a subject of Nepal
    (c) a subject of Bhutan
    (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
    (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates belonging to categories (b) through (e) should produce a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India.
  2. Age Limit: The candidate should not be more than 32 years.
  3. Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed the written and practical parts of the final year MBBS examination.
    Note:
    (i) A candidate who has appeared or is yet to appear for the MBBS exam can also apply.
    (ii) A candidate who is yet to complete the compulsory rotating internship is eligible for admission to the examination. But on selection, he/ she will only be appointed after they complete the compulsory rotating internship.
  4. Physical & Medical Standards: Candidates must be physically and medically fit according to the physical/ medical standards for CMS 2022.

UPSC CMS Online Application Process

Candidates need to apply online for UPSC Recruitment 2022. An active application link will be available on the official website of UPSC to fill registration form for UPSC CMS Recruitment. Candidates will have to complete the UPSC CMS registration process in two stages. Applicants can follow the steps mentioned below to apply for UPSC CMS online exam:

  • -1st Step: Visit the official website: upsconline.nic.in.
  • -2nd Step: Click on the notification ‘ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC’.
  • -3rd Step: Select ‘Part-I Registration’.

UPSC CMS Part-I Registration

  1. Read all the instructions and click on ‘Yes’.
  2. Enter the following details:
    a. Name as per the matriculation/secondary examination certificate
    b. Gender
    c. Category
    d. Date of Birth
    e. Father’s Name and Mother’s Name
    f. Nationality
    g. Marital Status
    h. Photo ID Proof and ID Number
    i. Educational Qualification
    j. Address, Email ID and Phone Number
  3. Click on ‘Save & Continue’.
  4. Make the ‘Payment’.
  5. Now select the ‘Exam Center’ click on ‘Continue’.
  6. Upload the scanned copy of ‘Photo’, ‘Signature’ & ‘Photo id Card’ and click on ‘Submit’.
  7. Your Registration ID will be generated. An email will also be sent to the candidate’s email ID.

-4th Step: Select ‘Part-II Registration.

UPSC CMS Part-II Registration

  1. Enter the following details:
    a. Registration Number
    b. Date of Birth
    c. Captcha code from the image shown on the screen
  2. Now click on ‘Submit’
  3. Read all the details entered by you and click on ‘Confirm’

UPSC CMS Age Relaxation

UPSC CMS provides age relaxation for certain categories. Age relaxation for different categories is mentioned below:

Required ID Proof for UPSC CMS Application Form

The candidates are required to upload a scanned copy of any one of the photo ID card mentioned below:

  1. Aadhar card
  2. Voter id card
  3. Pan card
  4. Passport
  5. Driving Licence

UPSC CMS Exam Application Fee

The category-wise UPSC CMS application fee is as under:

Candidates can pay the UPSC application fee by any of the following means:

  1. Cash: Deposit to any SBI branch
  2. Netbanking: Using the net banking facility of State Bank of India
  3. Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card
  4. Internet Banking of SBI

Note: Candidates who pay by cash should print the system generated ‘Pay-in slip’ during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the SBI counter the next working day.

UPSC CMS Admit Card

The commission will release the UPSC CMS 2022 admit card at least 3 weeks before the exam. Candidates can download the CMS admit card from the official website by either entering the candidate’s registration id or roll number. UPSC admit card for CMS 2022 will not be sent through post to the candidates. Candidates can only access UPSC CMS hall tickets via online mode. They are required to carry the hard copy of the same along with one valid ID proof on the day of the exam.
