NDA Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) started the application process for NDA II on May 17, 2023, and the last date to apply for the exam is June 6, 2023. Earlier, UPSC released the NDA (1) exam admit card on March 24, 2023. The UPSC NDA (1) exam was conducted on April 16, 2023, while UPSC NDA II will take place on September 3, 2023. • 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
• 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
• 3rd Step: Click on the “Getting into My Dream Undergraduate College” menu bar.

Eligibility Criteria for NDA 2023

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The UPSC NDA Recruitment eligibility criteria are listed below:

Nationality: Candidates must be a citizen of India or any of the following:

• A Subject of Nepal, or
• A Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India 

Provided that these candidates, except Indian citizens, produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Age Limit: Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than July 02, 2002, and not later than July 01, 2005, are eligible.

Educational Qualification: The educational qualification specified by the officials are listed below:

• For the Army Wing of National Defence Academy: The candidates should have passed the 10+2 board exams from a recognized board.
• For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and For Naval Academy: The candidate should have cleared the Class 12 board examination in 10+2 pattern or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as a recognised board subject.

• 1st Step: Visit the official website of UPSC – upsconline.nic.in.
• 2nd Step: Click on the link ‘Online Application For Various Examinations of UPSC’.
• 3rd Step: Now corresponding to ‘National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I)’ click on the link ‘Click here for Part-I’ Registration.
• 4th Step: A instruction page will be displayed; carefully review the instructions. Thereafter, click on the ‘Yes’ button present at the bottom of the page.
• 5th Step: Fill up the NDA application form with your Name, Mobile Number, Email ID, and all the necessary details. Your Registration ID will be generated.
• 6th Step: Proceed to Part II of the registration and make the payment of the UPSC NDA Application Fee.
• 7th Step: Upload the scanned copy of the photograph, signature and photo ID card in the prescribed formats.
• 8th Step: Select the exam centre, go through the declaration, and accept the terms to submit the application form.
• 9th Step: Recheck all the entered details and click on ‘Submit’. Take a few printouts of the filled application form.

UPSC NDA Selection Process

The NDA selection process involves two stages:

• Stage I: Written Test
• Stage II: SSB Interview

Candidates must qualify in both stages to be selected for the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC). Furthermore, candidates who qualify in the written test are only eligible to appear for the interview.

NDA Exam Pattern 2023

The NDA exam pattern for the written test is tabulated below:

The examination will be conducted for two papers:

1. Paper 1 is for Mathematics, and the time duration for the NDA Maths exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
2. Paper 2 is for General Ability Test (GAT) and will consist of two sections – English and General Knowledge. The total time duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

The exam pattern for SSB interviews is as follows:

After qualifying in the written test, shortlisted candidates will be called for an SSB interview. Candidates must go through the SSB Test/Interview (Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test). Check the following stages and tests conducted during the SSB interview that are given below:

NDA Medical Test Details

Candidates who qualify for the SSB Interview will have to visit the Medical Board as per the suggestions of the officials to get themselves evaluated medically. It takes 4 to 5 days of time for the concerned Military Hospital to complete the medical checkup of the candidates. Those who are medically fit will be appointed according to the vacancies and preferences. Candidates who have been declared unfit may seek the advice of the President Special Medical Board for review/appeal.

NDA Admit Card 2023

UPSC will release the NDA 2 admit card online on the official website. Candidates appearing for the NDA 2 examination can visit the official website and log in to the official portal using their credentials to download NDA II admit cards. In order to download the NDA hall ticket, candidates can follow the steps below:

• 1st Step: Visit the official website, i.e., upsc.gov.in.
• 2nd Step: Click on the NDA Admit Card link.
• 3rd Step: A login page will appear. Enter the registration/ roll number and date of birth.
• 4th Step: The NDA Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
• 5th Step: Candidates are advised to check the details mentioned on the same.
• 6th Step: Finally, download and take a printout of the hall ticket.

NDA Answer Key 2023

The UPSC will release the NDA 2 answer key after the culmination of the exam. Candidates can download the answer key in the form of a PDF from the official website. Furthermore, they can calculate their estimated scores with the help of the answer key.

NDA Result 2023

On the basis of the performance in the Written Exam and SSB Interview, the candidates will be shortlisted. Considering NDA vacancies, candidates’ medical fitness, and their performance, candidates will be selected for the Army, Navy, and Air Force of the National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of the Indian Naval Academy.

NDA Cutoff 2023

The UPSC will release NDA cutoff marks along with the results on the official website.
