How to Prepare for NEET In 2 Months – Subject-wise Preparation Strategy

According to the NEET exam pattern, 90 questions are from Biology and 45 questions from Chemistry and Physics each. It is advised that you do subject-wise preparation for the exam. Divide your time and efforts accordingly. In this article, we provide you with the subject wise strategies along with the list of important topics and their weightage in the exam. This will help you in planning your preparation strategy for NEET in 2 months.

How to Prepare Physics for NEET in 2 Months

1. Make a Study Routine: Follow the 3 day Plan

Go through the syllabus and divide the topics across the first 45-50 days. Keep in mind that you should not spend more than 3 days on a single chapter. It is advised that you complete the syllabus 10- 15 days prior to the exam. Thus, the last 15 days will be helpful for you in revising the concepts.

2. Take tough decisions: Don’t stick to easy topics or start new topics

Always cover and be prepared with all the concepts of NEET syllabus, avoid any new topic at the end moment which is not on high priority for the exam or difficult topics which are taking a lot of time. Focus on the topics that you have studied earlier. Remember the basic formulae and go through the questions asked in the previous year exams.

3. Fix your priorities

Mark out the important topics and then prioritize the concepts which needs to be completed. You will find important topics in the next section of this article. Try to work on the easier ones first like Wave Optics and then move on to the difficult ones like Thermodynamics & Mechanics. Most important topic from class 11 syllabus is Mechanics and from class 12 syllabus Modern Physics, around 11-12 questions are asked from these chapters in NEET every year.

4. Practice numerical problems

Practice problems from NCERT books. Revise the formulas daily so as to improve your speed of problem-solving. Make short tricks for calculations to reduce time taken.

How to Prepare for NEET Chemistry in 2 Months

The Chemistry section can be divided into 3 parts i.e. Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Inorganic Chemistry. For your reference, we are providing you a 60-day breakup plan for the Chemistry section of the NEET examination.

1. Practice Numericals

Make sure that you practice numerical problems repeatedly. It is the section where you can score higher marks if you prepare well. For the beginning, you should go for the topics like Mole concept, Redox, Chemical Kinetics, Equilibrium, Electrochemistry, Solid State and Atomic Structure.

2. Smart Preparation for Chemistry

Make a condensed formula sheet for Physical Chemistry. Inorganic Chemistry will give you good rewards for the effort that you put in. NCERT books are the best to prepare for these topics. For starters, prepare Chemical bonding concepts perfectly. Topics like Qualitative Analysis, P Block elements and Metallurgy are important.

From Organic Chemistry, make sure you study these topics well – general organic chemistry, Grignard’s reagents, Hydrocarbons, Carbonyl compounds and Biomolecules.

3. Master Chemistry Topics

Remember that Chemistry can be proved as the easiest subject if prepared properly. This section takes lesser time to solve compared to others.

How to Prepare for NEET Biology in 2 Months

1. Timetable for NEET preparation in 2 months

For the Biology section, it is advised for you to target 45- 50 days for the preparation. Try to save 10- 15 days for the revision. Shortlist the topics as per their probability and the difficulty level. Since Biology makes up half the marks, allot time accordingly. Revise notes & diagrams from NCERT Class 11 & 12 books.

2. Target Easy Questions:

Prepare & practice easier questions first. The easier questions section can be helpful in solving 80- 85 questions. Topics of Ecology, Animal & Plant Physiology, Cell Biology, Genetics & Evolution and Biotechnology are the most important topics and must be covered under the study plan.

How to Prepare for NEET in Last 2 Months : Study Plan

  1. Revise & Practice – As you know that not much time is left, spend less time on studying the topics and more on revision and make a practice of answering questions. Once you are done, go for the repetitive practice. It will be helpful for you in improving your knowledge of the concepts. Also, you will be able to improve your problem-solving speed.
