The IBPS RRB PO 2025 exam consists of three stages, i.e., Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. The Prelims exam contains two sections, namely Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 exam is a three-stage exam. The Prelims and Mains stages of the exam are written online tests, while the final stage is the interview process. The candidates must clear the prelims round to appear for the mains exam.

IBPS RRB PO Exam Pattern for Mains

Like Prelims, the Main exam is also conducted in online mode only. While the Prelims exam has two sections, namely, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, the Main exam has five sections. The IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 exam pattern for Mains is tabulated below:

The composite duration of the exam is 2 hours, and the sections are not separately timed. It means candidates can start with any section and move from one section to another. The exam is conducted bilingually.

That means, except English/Hindi Language section, all other sections are available in English and Hindi. Candidates can choose the language they want to take the exam in.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Marking Scheme

There is a negative marking in IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 objective-type tests. One-fourth of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted for each wrong answer. However, no marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Candidates must score minimum marks in the Main exam to get shortlisted for an interview. The cutoff marks are decided based on the number of vacancies. An adequate number of candidates in each category, not exceeding three times the declared vacancies, will be called for an interview.

IBPS RRB PO Interview

IBPS invites candidates who have passed the RRB PO Mains exam to the Interview round. The interview process will be worth 100 marks, with the maximum score for qualifying for this round being 40 per cent (35 per cent for ST/SC/OBC/PWD candidates).
