The Institute of Banking Personnel has given age relaxation for candidates belonging to Person with Disabilities (PwD). According to IBPS, candidates who suffer from a disability of more than 40% can apply under the PwD category. These candidates must submit their documents issued by a medical board under the state or national government during the online application process and carry the document for inspection during the exam. The categories which are included under PwD are as follows:

• Hearing Handicapped (HH): Candidates who suffer from a loss of sixty decibels or more in the conversational range of frequencies. Candidates with such a disability suffer a loss of total hearing ability.

• Orthopedically Handicapped (HH): Candidates who suffer from cerebral palsy or locomotor disability of more than 40 per cent. IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 Prelims Eligibility Criteria 2022: Guidelines for Scribe

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection allows the use of scribes for Persons with Disability provided they are not able to write the exam on their own.
