Basic Pay and Allowances in ISRO

ISRO Scientist Salary After Grade Pay

The 7th Pay Commission revised the ISRO Scientist salary per month and allowances. The monthly basic pay of INR 15,600 increased with a grade pay of INR 6,600. The maximum monthly salary for an ISRO scientist is INR 80,000, with a consequent increase in the grade pay. The salary of an ISRO engineer or scientist, along with grade pay, is as per the table below:

  2. Employees will receive a Dearness allowance, which will be revised twice a year. As per the records of 0215, the DA is 113% every month.
  3. HRA Allowance depends on the classification of the city they are posted to according to the Government of India Rules. The HRA allowances vary from 10% – 30% of the basic pay.
  4. The Transport Allowance varies from INR 400 to INR 3,200 depending on the grade of pay and depending on the city of posting.
