JEE Advanced Application Form 2023: JEE Advanced 2023 will take place in June 2023. Every year, one of the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) — IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Roorkee – conducts a national-level test in rotational shifts. It is managed by the Joint Admission Board and carried out by the seven Zonal Coordinating IITs (JAB). JEE Advanced application form 2023 submission will tentatively start in the last week of May 2023.

Only those who have qualified for JEE Main are eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam. There will be two papers in JEE Advanced exam, Paper-I and Paper-II. JEE Advanced Admit Card was released on August 23, 2022.
– IIT Bombay extended the last date for JEE Advanced 2022 by one day. Aspirants could register for the exam till August 12, 2022, up to 8:00 p.m. using the direct link.
– JEE Main qualified candidates could submit the application form fee by August 13, 2022 (till 8.00 p.m.).

JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria 2023

Before applying for JEE Advanced 2023, candidates must go through the JEE Advanced Eligibilty Criteria to know the eligibility requirements to appear for the exam.

Performance in JEE Main 2023

  • Candidates must be in the top 2,50,000 (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. Paper of JEE (Main) 2023.
  • According to the table below, the top 2,50,000 candidates in various categories are selected based on their performance in the B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE Main 2022.

Age Limit

  • Candidates belonging to the General category born on or after October 1,1996, can appear for the exam. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, there is an age relaxation of 5 years. SC, ST, or PwD candidates born on or after October 1, 1991, will be eligible for the exam.

Number of Attempts

  • A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced exam a maximum of two times in two consecutive years. Candidates who had filled the JEE Advanced 2022 application form but did not appear for the exam are also eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2023 exam.

Qualifying Criteria

  • A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2022 or 2023, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. However, if the examination Board of Class XII (or equivalent) declares the results for the academic year 2020-21 on or after October 15, 2021, then the candidates of that board who appeared for their Class XII exam in 2021 are also eligible to appear in JEE Advanced exam 2023, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria.
  • Please note, in case the results for the academic year 2020-2019 were declared before October 15, 2021, but the authorities withheld the candidate’s results, the candidate in concern will not be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2023 exams.

Earlier Admission to IIT

Candidates who have previously been admitted to the IIT colleges will not be eligible for the JEE Advanced exams to be conducted in 2023, whether or not they have continued in the existing programme.

The candidates whose admission to the IITs was cancelled after joining will not be able to take the JEE Advanced 2023 exams.

Candidates who were admitted to a preparatory course in an IIT college for the first time in 2021 will be able to appear for the JEE Advanced exam 2023 if one of the following conditions are met:

  • If the candidates have not reported at any reporting centre
  • If the candidates withdrew before the last round of seat allotment
  • If their seats were cancelled before the final seat allotment round.

JEE Advanced 2023 Application Form

The JEE Advanced registration process consists of three simple steps – filling out the form, uploading documents, and paying the registration fee. The last date to upload the documents for JEE Advanced 2023 registration will be the 1st week of June 2023. Candidates will have their JEE Main 2023 login ID and password at the time of JEE Advanced registration 2023.

How To Fill Out JEE Advanced Application Form?

Before filling out the JEE Advanced 2023 application form, candidates must go through the instructions and eligibility criteria. the following steps can be followed to fill out the JEE Advanced 2023 Application Form:

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website of JEE Advanced, i.e., jeeadv.ac.in.
  • 2nd Step: Click on the “To Register, Click Here” link.
  • 3rd Step: Candidates must enter their application numbers, passwords, and security pins in the candidate login window and then click on the ‘Login’ button (Make sure that the option – ‘JEE (Main) Candidates’ is selected).
  • 4th Step: Read the instructions and then click on “Proceed To Register Online.”
  • 5th Step: Candidates should enter their JEE Main 2023 roll number and password to log in. Foreign candidates can apply directly by filling out the online registration form. They must note down their Login ID and Password.
  • 6th Step: Candidates’ personal, academic, and contact details will display on the screen. Candidates should enter additional details like a choice of examination cities, Class 12 examination Roll Number, and more.
  • 7th Step: Candidates must upload scanned copies of the required certificates.
  • 8th Step: In the next step, candidates must pay the JEE Advanced application fee to complete their registration
  • 9th Step: After candidates have paid the fee, they must take printouts of their JEE Advanced Online Application Form for future reference.

  • The registration fee shown above does not include service, processing, or any other charges that the payment gateway/ banks may levy.
  • The online registration portal will provide detailed instructions related to the registration fee payment at the time of JEE (Advanced) 2023 registration.

Payment of JEE Advanced Application Fee

The candidate can pay the JEE Advanced application fee either online mode or offline mode.

  • For offline mode, candidates have to visit the nearest SBI branch. They need to bring the SBI challan generated after selecting the option for paying in offline mode while filling the JEE Advanced application form.
  • If the candidate selects the online mode, he/she can pay the application fee via SBI Debit Card or Internet Banking. All they need to do is click on the option of “Pay Registration Fee,” which is displayed after filling out the JEE Advanced application form. The page will be redirected to the State Bank Multi Option Payment System (MOPS) page. Candidates outside India should use international credit or debit cards issued by foreign banks. After successful payment, the candidate will print the registration details page with the UNIQUE registration number.

Payment for Exam Centres Outside India: Candidates seeking exam centres outside India must pay the registration fee through an international debit or credit card issued by foreign banks and issued outside India. Payment in US $ (dollars) is not allowed through debit or credit cards issued in India.

What was New About JEE Advanced 2022?

The following new things will be followed in JEE Advanced 2022:

  • The conducting body of JEE Advanced 2022 was IIT Bombay.
  • The number of candidates to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2022 went up to 2,50,000 as per the decision by JAB.
  • The exam timing of Paper 2 of JEE Advanced was changed from 2 PM to 5 PM to 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
  • The JEE Advanced 2022 exam centres in Addis Ababa and Colombo was discontinued due to the absence of JEE aspirants in the two cities.

Once the candidates have submitted the JEE Advanced application form, they cannot change the details they have entered. Candidates are therefore advised to be very careful while filling out the form.

IIT JEE Advanced 2023: Steps to Reset Password?

In case the candidates forget their JEE Advanced login password, they can reset the same by following the steps mentioned below:

  • 1st Step: Click on the ‘Forgot Password‘ option on the Candidate Login.
  • 2nd Step: Choose one of the options out of:
1. Reset the password using the Security Question.
2. Reset the password using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to the Registered Mobile No.
3. Reset the password using a reset link sent via Email to the Registered Email Address.
  • 3rd Step: Fill in the details as per the option chosen.
  • 4th Step: The password will be sent to the candidate after completing the step.
