Candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to check JEE Advanced 2023 Result:

1st Step: Go to the updated result portal – jeeadv.ac.in.
2nd Step: Click on the JEE Advanced 2023 result notice and enter your JEE Advanced 2023 ‘Roll Number’, ‘Date of Birth’, and ‘Phone Number’.
3rd Step: Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

How is JEE Advanced Score Calculated?

All of the candidates are required to appear in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2023 to be considered for the ranking process.

  • Scores secured in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be considered while the concerned authorities calculate the rank. The example is mentioned below:

Marks obtained in Physics = Physics marks obtained in Paper I + Physics marks obtained in Paper-II

  • The marks for Chemistry and Mathematics are calculated similarly. The aggregate marks for JEE Advanced result 2022 will be calculated using the following formula:

Aggregate Marks/Scores obtained in JEE Advanced = Aggregate Marks in Physics + Aggregate Marks in Chemistry + Aggregate Marks in Mathematics

  • The JEE Advanced rank list 2022 will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination.

JEE Advanced Result 2023: Tie-Breaker Policy

The tie-breaker policy is used if two or more candidates receive equal marks in the JEE Advanced 2023 examination. To break a tie, JEE Advanced rank is assigned using the following methods:

  • Candidates with higher Mathematics scores will be given a higher rank.
  • If candidates cannot break the tie, the candidate with the higher Physics score will be assigned the higher rank.
  • If candidates cannot break the tie, the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

IIT JEE Advanced Result: Important Points

Some of the important points to keep in mind are as follows,

  • The OBC (NCL), ST, and SC merit lists will be released separately. Minimum marks will be reduced for candidates who fall into one of these categories.
  • The minimum prescribed marks will differ depending on the category of candidates.
  • Candidates will not receive individual rank cards.
  • A JEE Advanced 2022 rank does not guarantee admission.
