The National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) was formerly known as the NSTSS (National Science Talent Search Scheme). It is a national-level scholarship examination that identifies and improves students’ skills, logical reasoning, and mental ability.
Every year, the NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is held for class 10 students in two stages: Stage-I (State-Level) and Stage-II (National-Level). The Stage-I exam is a state-level examination administered by all Indian states and UTs. The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) administers the Stage-II exam, a national-level exam. Only students who pass the NTSE Stage-I exam will be eligible to take the Stage II exam. If a candidate wishes to be considered for the scholarship, they must pass both exams. The top 2,000 students will be selected and will receive monthly scholarships.

The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) assesses students’ knowledge in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Mental Ability. This program is open to all students in class X who received 60% or higher in class IX at any recognised school. Students pursuing admission in the Science and Social Science streams are eligible for scholarships up to the Doctorate level.
In contrast, students pursuing professional courses are eligible for scholarships up to the postgraduate level. Rajasthan NTSE 2021 Stage-I has been postponed due to administrative reasons. Previously, this exam was scheduled for January 16, 2022. The new Rajasthan NTSE 2021 exam date will be announced later. The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education administers the first level of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) for students in class X. NCERT, on the other hand, will hold the NTSE Stage-II examination on June 12, 2022.

The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2022 will be held in the offline mode, i.e. on paper, for both levels, namely the State level examination (stage-I) and the National level examination (stage-II). The NTSE Stage-I exam 2022 was initially scheduled for January 16, 2022, but it was rescheduled for administrative reasons. The NCERT scholarship exam consists of two papers: Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
Both the MAT and SAT papers for the NTSE 2022 are given on the same day, but in two different shifts: 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for MAT and 01:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for SAT. Only designated exam centres will be used to administer the exams. Candidates must show up for the exam with a valid admit card issued by the exam conducting authority.
The NTSE 2021-22 exam is divided into two parts.
According to the NTSE exam pattern 2021-22, the stage-I examination can be taken in either Hindi or English. Every correct answer is worth one mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted ones.

NTSE Stage-I consists of two papers: MAT and SAT. Each has 100 questions for 100 marks, with a time limit of 2 hours or 120 minutes.

Instructions for Photographs

Candidates who have successfully applied will take Stage-1 of the NTSE exam. Each candidate will receive an NTSE admit card from their respective states.
