Ans: Candidates have to undergo three rounds of selection to clear the RBI examination, i.e Phase-1/Prelims examination, Phase-2/Mains examination and Interview process.

Q.1: What is the age limit to apply for the RBI Grade B Exam?
Ans: Aspirants applying for the RBI Grade B Exam must be between the ages of 21 to 30 years as of 1st January 2022. However, the RBI has set certain age relaxations for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Q.2: What are the age relaxations for reserved categories to apply for the RBI Grade B exam?
Ans: The age relaxation for the RBI Grade B exam for SC/ST category is 5 years, OBC is 3 years, physically handicapped is 10 years, PH+OBC is 13 years and PH+SC/ST is 15 years.

Q.3: What is the educational qualification of candidates applying for the Officers post in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General?
Ans: Candidates applying for Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – General post must possess 60% of marks in 10th standard, 12th standard as well as in bachelors’ degree from a State or Central Board/ University respectively (50% for SC/ ST/ PWD). Or post-graduation with equivalent technical qualification marks with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

Ans: Candidates applying for Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR must have a Masters’s Degree in Economics/ Finance/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Integrated Economics Course/ Quantitative Economics with at least 55% of marks. (50% for SC/ ST/ PWD).

Ans: Candidates applying for Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM must have a master’s degree in Mathematics/ Economics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Econometrics/ Statistical and Informatics from IIT Kharagpur with at least 55% in all years OR Master Degree in Mathematics/ PG Diploma in Statistics from reputed an Institute, or M. Statistics from ISI with 55% mark in all semesters OR PG Diploma in Business Analytics from ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, IIM Calcutta with 55% of marks. (5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ PWD).

Ans: A candidate from the General category can attempt the RBI Grade B exam for a maximum of 6 times. Candidates from SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS categories do not have any limit on the number of attempts.

Ans: Candidates having valid proof of Indian citizenship, and are citizens of any Indian state only can apply for the examination.
