The candidates will have to sit for an online objective test which will be for 100 marks. The duration of the test is 1 hour. There are no minimum qualifying marks for the individual subject as well as for the aggregate (overall) score. There is a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong attempt. Candidates need to be aware that there is no negative marking for unattempted questions. The shortlisted number for the exam will be decided by the bank, which will be around 20 times the number of vacancies subject to availability.

Only qualified candidates will be able to sit for the main examination, which will be for 200 marks with 2 hours and 40 minutes time duration. There will be negative markings for the wrong answers which means ¼ marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. Here is a detailed structure for SBI Clerk 2022:

Except for the General English Test, the questions in objective tests will be bilingual, which means it will be English and Hindi. Candidates who are not proficient in official and/or local languages would be disqualified. Those candidates who provide a 10th standard mark sheet/certificate, giving the evidence they have studied the official (local) language, will not have to undergo a language test.

SBI will release a provisional merit list once all the phases are successfully conducted. The merit list shall be released state and category-wise. Candidates will get posted based on their city/state preference. Once the joining process is completed, the candidates cannot transfer for the next 5 years.
SBI will also release a waiting list which will be up to 50% state, vacancies, and category wise. By scoring the least qualifying marks, candidates can be on the waiting list. This waitlist issued by the SBI will be valid for a span of one year from the date of declaration of the Final result of SBI Clerk 2022.
Candidates will have to serve a probation period of 6 months after the final selection. In the duration of 6 months, the clerks/junior associates need to complete 15 authorized e-lessons.
Candidates who are unable to complete those 15 e-lessons in a given time span will face an extended probation period
Before the probation period ends, the performance of all the newly hired Clerks/Junior associates will be assessed according to the SBI Clerk Junior Associate Selection Process.
In case, if the recruited individuals fail to complete the expectations of the SBI, his/her probation period will be extended.
