SSC MTS Tier I Application Process 2022

Candidates need to apply for the SSC MTS exam to be able to sit for the MTS Tier I exam. The registration process for SSC MTS exam 2022 as of now is closed. However, it is important that the steps to fill the application form is known by candidates who are willing to apply for the exam next year.

  • Candidates need to first register themselves in the SSC portal by visiting the official website of SSC, ssc.nic.in 
  • In the SSC home page, candidates need to click the option register now as shown in the image below.
SSC MTS Tier I Application Process
  • Now, candidates have to enter their personal and contact details such as ‘Name’, ‘Mobile Number’, ‘Email ID’, ‘Date of Birth’, and so on.
  • After submitting the details, candidates will receive the registration number and password on their registered mobile number and email ID.
  • Candidates now need to log into the SSC portal using their login credentials.
  • Then they will be redirected to a new page where they have to click the ‘SSC MTS Online Application Process’ tab.
  • Now, fill in all the required details such as educational qualification, contact details, choice of exam centre, and so on.
  • After filling the details, candidates need to upload the scanned copies of photograph and signature in the prescribed size given by SSC.
  • Now, candidates will be able to preview their application form and correct any mistakes they have made in the form.
  • Candidates will be asked to pay the online application fee and the fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or in cash at the SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.
  • After paying the fees, candidates need to click on the submit button and the application process is over.
  • It is advised that candidates download the application form and take printouts for future references.

Nationality Criteria

Aspirants must be citizens of India or must belong to one of the following nationalities:

  • A Subject of Nepal, or
  • A Subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, intending to settle in India permanently, or
  • A Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Uganda, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

Educational Qualification

Candidates who are willing to apply for SSC MTS Tier I exam need to complete Class 10 matriculation exam or have a certificate of any equivalent degree from a recognised university or board.

Age Limit

The SSC has put an age limit for candidates who are willing to apply for the various posts under SSC MTS Tier I exam. The age limit for MTS exam are as follows:

  • Candidates must be between the age of 18 to 25 years in CBN (department of revenue) on the cut-off date.
  • The age of the candidates for CBIC (department of revenue) should be between 18 to 27 years on the cut-off date.

  • The total duration of the exam is 90 minutes to 1:30 hours.
  • Candidates can attempt the exam in both Hindi and English except the subject General English.
  • The Tier I exam is online and is objective in nature (Multiple choice questions).

SSC MTS Tier I Admit Card 2022

The SSC MTS Tier I admit card is expected to be released in June 2022. Candidates need to visit the official website to download the admit card. Moreover, candidates who have successfully applied for the exam can download the admit card by using their registration ID and password which was given to them during the registration process.
