TS EAMCET Selection Process 2023: Check Phases & Dates

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) conducts the TS EAMCET selection process for candidates who successfully clear the TS EAMCET 2023 exams. The selection or counselling process is expected to commence in August 2023, and the authorities will release seat allotment results for different rounds on the official website. The selection process for the state-level Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy entrance exam is expected to be conducted in August-September 2023.

Candidates are allotted seats as per their ranks, preferred choices, and availability of seats. Candidates who fulfil the TS EAMCET eligibility criteria 2023 can check the status of their allotted seats by logging into the website and downloading the seat allotment paper. TS EAMCET 2023 Selection: Important Dates for Counselling Procedure

Once the candidates are selected for counselling, they cannot afford to miss any related events. Therefore, they should keep track of the dates of the events and mark them on their calendars for future reference. TS EAMCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the TS EAMCET exam should know the TS EAMCET 2023 eligibility criteria requirements before applying. The eligibility for TS EAMCET is given below:

Nationality Eligibility for TS EAMCET

The eligibility criteria are as follows,

  • The applicants must be citizens of India, persons of Indian origin (POI), or holders of Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cards.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  • Candidates must meet Telangana or Andhra Pradesh’s local or non-local status requirements.

TS EAMCET Age Limit

The age limit is as follows,

  • Candidates must be 16 years old as of December 31 of the admissions year in order to pursue the B.Tech programme in all areas other than B.Tech Dairy Technology, Agriculture Engineering, or Food Technology. There is no maximum TS EAMCET age limit.
  • Candidates must be 17 years old as of December 31 of the admissions year in order to pursue the B.Tech. in Dairy Technology, Agriculture Engineering, or Food Technology programmes. The maximum TS EAMCET age limit is 22 years old.
  • The maximum TS EAMCET age limit for applicants from the reserved category who want to enrol in the B.Tech programmes in dairy technology, agriculture engineering, or food technology is 25.

Educational Qualification Eligibility for TS EAMCET

The educational eligibility criteria are as follows,

  • Candidates must have passed or have taken the Board of Intermediate Education of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh’s Class 12 or equivalent examination in the final year.
  • In their 10+2 examination, candidates should take optional courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry as well as associated vocational courses in engineering and technology.
  • Candidates who have taken or passed the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training’s diploma in engineering exam are also eligible to take the TS EAMCET in 2023.
  • Candidates must have achieved a passing score in Class 12 or an equivalent exam.

Local and Non-Local Status Eligibility for TS EAMCET

The domicile eligibility criteria are as follows,

  • Candidates shall be regarded as local candidates if they have lived in or attended school in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh for a minimum of four years prior to their qualifying test.
  • Candidates will be regarded as non-local if they do not meet the TS EAMCET eligibility requirements in 2023.
  • Candidates who fall under the OCI/PIO categories will also be treated as foreign applicants.

Qualifying Marks Eligibility for TS EAMCET

The eligibility is as follows,

  • No minimum score is required for candidates from the reserved category to be included in the rank list.
  • Only those applicants who appear on the rank list will be given consideration for admission.

Admission Weightage Eligibility for TS EAMCET

The eligibility is as follows,

  • The TS EAMCET 2023 score will be used to determine the final admission procedure.
  • The 25 per cent weighted average of the intermediate marks will not be considered.

Selection Process for TS EAMCET 2023: Counselling Process

The TS EAMCET counselling process 2023 will be conducted for all the candidates who have qualified for the TS EAMCET exams 2023. The counselling process will be conducted in three rounds and will start in August 2023 (tentatively). In case if seats remain vacant, the candidates will be given spot admission. In the first step, candidates must choose their preferred courses and the institutions that offer them.

The candidates will have to fill in these choices in their order of preference. Next, they have to pay the processing fee and move toward booking the slots. Candidates must book the slots to select the helpline centre and the date and time to attend the certificate verification process. The seats will be allotted to the candidates based on the ranks they secure. 

Once the candidates have been allotted their course and college, they can move on to reporting to their respective colleges. At this stage, they will have to pay the admission fee.

TS EAMCET Counselling Process 2023

The following steps are the TS EAMCET counselling process 2023:

Registration – In the first step, candidates have to log in to the official website or visit the helpline centres as per their ranks and pay the processing fee. To register themselves, candidates must provide basic information such as their TS EAMCET registration number 2023, date of birth, admit card number, caste certificate details (if applicable), income certificate application number (if applicable), mobile number, and email address. The registration number will be mentioned on the candidates’ admit card, and the date of birth will be mentioned on the Class 10 mark sheets. Candidates need to check their mobile number before submitting any information because it cannot be changed once provided.

Fee Payment – Candidates can pay the fee using either a credit card, debit card, or net banking. To pay the counselling processing fee, candidates will have to log in to the website with their Class 12 admit card number, registration number, and date of birth. Candidates can check the fees that will apply to them in the following table:

Document Verification – Candidates will have to visit the helpline centres to verify their Aadhar and other documents and have their biometric fingerprints verified. Candidates belonging to special categories will have to produce the below-mentioned documents at the time of document verification:

  • PH candidates will have to produce a PH certificate issued by District Medical Board. Only candidates with a disability of 40% or more will be considered eligible for this category.
  • Candidates who claim to belong to the Minorities category will have to provide an SSC Transfer Certificate containing Minority Status or Certificate from the principal of the school.
  • CAP candidates will have to produce a certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer – Identity card and Discharge book (in case of Ex-Servicemen) and Service Certificate (in case of in-servicemen) issued by the Competent Authority.
  • Candidates under the NCC and Sports categories will be required to display original certificates issued by the competent authorities.
  • Candidates who have marked themselves as Anglo-Indians will need to provide a certificate issued by Tahsildar of their place of residence.

Choice Filling –  Candidates will choose the colleges and courses for which they want to apply based on their preferences. Candidates can choose as many options as they want to keep in mind that the preference order should be higher to lower. After the choices have been made, candidates will need to take a printout of the selected options for their future reference. 

Seat Allotment – TSCHE will conduct TS EAMCET seat allotment 2023 in the online mode. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of the choices made by the candidates, their merit, category, local area, special reservation category, and other parameters. Candidates will be informed of the status of the seats allotted to them via SMS on their registered mobile numbers. This information will also be available online. 

Candidates will be able to access their allotment order by submitting their ROC form number, TS EAMCET admits card number 2023, password, and date of birth. To download their provisional allotment order, candidates will have to log in. They will have to enter their password, date of birth, ROC form number, and TS EAMCET 2023 admit card number.

Tuition Fee Payment and Self-Reporting – The tuition fee the candidates will pay will be mentioned in the provisional allotment order. Payment can be made online through internet banking or by using a credit card or debit card. After the candidates have made the payment, they can take the admission number to confirm the seat they were provisionally allotted.

During the payment process, one of two situations may arise:

  • The tuition fee displays zero – In this case, the candidates have to accept the allotted seat by logging in and using the self-reporting system. This means that the candidates will have to submit the original documents at the institute allotted to accept the seat. In this option, candidates can participate in the subsequent rounds of counselling without having to withdraw the seat they have been allotted.
  • The tuition fee does not display zero – In this case, the candidates will have to complete their fee payment online.

The joining report will be generated along with the admission number in both cases after the candidates click on ‘Accept My Joining’. Candidates will have to take a printout of the joining report and submit it to the allotted college along with the allotment letter. 

TS EAMCET 2023 Selection Process: Documents Required

Candidates who participate in the TS EAMCET counselling process 2023 will require to provide the following documents:

  • TS EAMCET 2023 rank card
  • TS EAMCET admit card 2023
  • Aadhaar card
  • SSC mark sheet or score card or an equivalent educational level
  • 6th standard to inter-study certificates
  • Transfer certificate (T.C.)
  • Intermediate or its equivalent memo-cum-pass certificate
  • Income certificate issued after Jan 1, 2023 (if applicable)
  • Residence certificate of either of parents in Telangana for a period of 10 years in case of non-local candidates
  • Residence certificate in case where the candidate has no institutionalised education
  • Caste certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable
  • Physically challenged (PH) certificate or certificates if candidates classify under Children of Armed Personnel (CAP)/NCC/Sports/Minority categories
