Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) conducts UP Board Class 12 examinations every year in February and March. In essence, the UPMSP aims to instil critical thinking, open-mindedness, and flexibility in the way students learn. Students appearing for the UP Board Class 12 exams must ensure that they follow the schedule carefully.
The Board provides students with high-quality education and skills. UPMSP prepares the curriculum and syllabus for Class 12 students and is also in charge of conducting the Class 12 board exam. Read on to find out more about the UPMSP Class 12 board exam.
The UP Class 12 board exam is also called the intermediate examination. The Uttar Pradesh Board Class 12 exams are scheduled from February 22 to March 9, 2024. The exams are conducted offline (pen-and-paper) in different cities and towns across Uttar Pradesh. Lakhs of candidates appear each year to get the passing certificate, enrol for further studies, or appear for various competitive exams. There are three main streams in the UP Board 12th exam:
Note: English and Hindi are two compulsory subjects that all students from these three streams must study and appear for in the exam.
The examination is conducted for 100 marks for each subject, including 30 marks for practicals. All students must score at least 33 per cent to pass the exam. Here is an overview of the exam:

The Uttar Pradesh Class 12 registration for 2024 started on July 3, 2023, and ended on August 5, 2023. The last date to fill out the form without a late fee was October 10, 2023. The correction window last date for Uttar Pradesh Class 12 was September 20, 2023, for making changes or corrections.

The Uttar Pradesh Board Class 12 admit card was released by the board on their official website on February 1, 2024. Students cannot download the admit card from the official website. Only school/college administrators can download the Uttar Pradesh Class 12 admit cards online and provide them to students.

Students in Class 12 should start with preboard preparation as well to score more marks. This will give them the leverage to stay ahead of their peers. Students must ensure that they focus on all the units carefully so that they can score maximum marks. The preboard preparation will give enough time to students for preparation which will eventually help them in the long run. As a result, the students can focus on the learning elements and kickstart their preparation accordingly.
UPMSP will release the Class 12 results in April 2024. The exam results for the 12th board exam contain various information like name, roll no, school name, total marks, marks obtained, percentage, grade, and passing status.
Students can check all these details on the result page. Please note that the online result on the official website is not the original grade card. Students will get their original mark sheet along with the certificate from their school.
Students who failed in one or two subjects can appear for the Class 12 compartment exams. The Board will provide the notification to register for the compartment exam and other important information in due time. Students must refrain from carrying electronic devices in the examination centre. If a student is found carrying any unauthorised device, they will be suspended from appearing in the exam.
UPMSP releases the toppers list for each year based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the written examination and the practicals. The UP Board Class 12 supplementary exams are held a few weeks after the declaration of board results. Students who are not satisfied with their board exams or the ones who failed to qualify in the board exams by scoring 33% can appear for the supplementary exams.
The supplementary exams are held a few weeks before the examination. Therefore, students can apply for the supplementary exams and start preparing for them. The syllabus for supplementary exams is usually the same as regular board exams for the UP Board. Therefore, the students can follow their regular schedule and start their exam preparation accordingly.
