UPTET Exam Pattern 2021-22: The Exam Regulatory Authority of Uttar Pradesh has developed the UPTET Exam Pattern 2022. There are two papers in the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET): Paper 1 and Paper 2. If candidates wish to teach Classes 1–5, they must appear for Paper 1. However, the candidates who plan to teach Classes 6-8, must clear the Paper 2 exam. In terms of the number of subjects and the total number of questions, the exam pattern differs for both papers.

UPTET Exam Pattern Overview

UPTET Paper 1 Exam Pattern

UPTET Paper 2 Exam Pattern

UPTET Paper 2 is for the selection of teachers in the Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8). It consists of four sections which are tabulated below along with the number of questions and maximum marks for each section:

UPTET Marking Scheme

Candidates have four options for each question in the UPTET exam. Candidates must choose one accurate answer from the four alternatives provided. For each accurate answer, one mark is awarded. The exam does not have any negative marking.

UPTET Cut-off

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has formulated and defined criteria for determining UPTET cut-off marks. For applicants belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories, the qualifying marks in the exam are around 55 percent or 82 marks, while for candidates belonging to the general category, the qualifying scores are around 60 percent or 150 marks.
