1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com. 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in. 3rd Step: Click on the “Getting a Government Job” menu bar. 4th Step: Select the Goal “Defence” from the dropdown and click on “Next”. 5th Step: Search and select “UPSC CDS” on the search bar and click on “Next”. 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click on “Done”. 7th Step: Click “Practice” from the header Section. 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section. 9th Step: Click on any UPSC CDS Exam subjects. 10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.
How To Apply Online for CDS 2023?
The CDS application form has two parts: Part 1 and Part 2. Check out the details on steps to apply for this exam below:
Part-1: This part involves the registration process. Candidates have to enter personal details and other information. After successful registration, a registration ID will be generated, which will be required to proceed to part 2 of filling up the CDS application form.
Part-2: Candidates have to enter their payment details, and examination centre, and upload their photograph, signature, photo identity card, and declaration.
Part-1 Registration
1st Step: Visit the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) official link –upsconline.nic.in.
2nd Step: Click on ‘ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC‘.
3rd Step: Candidates will see the examination code ‘CDS 1’. Click on ‘Click Here for Part I’.
4th Step: Read the instructions carefully that are available both in Hindi and English. Next, click on ‘Yes‘.
5th Step: Enter the following details:

6th Step: Click on ‘Continue’.
7th Step: Enter the following:
Photo identity card details
Whether or not you hold a commercial pilot license issued by DGCA (India)
Preferences among IMA, NA, AFA, OTA, and other details
8th Step: Click on ‘Continue’.
9th Step: Validate all the information that has been provided, enter the Captcha and click on ‘I Agree’.
10th Step: The Registration ID will be generated. Make sure to note down the ID.
Part-2 Registration
Once the system has generated the registration ID, a new option called ‘Click Here for Part II Registration’ will be activated. Click on the option to continue by entering the registration ID, date of birth, and captcha.
Candidates also have the option to complete the Part 2 registration later. They can leave for the time being and complete the application process before the application window closes. However, it is advisable to finish the application earlier to avoid delays due to software issues.
1st Step: Log on to upsconline.nic.in. 2nd Step: Click on ‘ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC’. 3rd Step: Under the examination code ‘CDS’, click on ‘Click Here for Part II’. 4th Step: Enter the registration ID, date of birth, and captcha. 5th Step: Click on ‘Submit’. 6th Step: Select a mode of payment. If offline payment has been opted for, then generate an e-challan and make the payment in one of the branches of SBI. 7th Step: Once the application fee has been paid, select the preferences for the exam centre. 8th Step: Upload the photograph, signature, and photo ID proof. 9th Step: Agree to the declaration and submit the application form.
Note- If a candidate submits multiple applications by mistake or due to some error in the system, only the final application submitted will be considered for scrutiny. In such a case, they must make sure that the most recent application is complete in all aspects.

Applicants have the option to pay the application fee online and offline at their convenience. The CDS application fee for different categories is tabulated below:

Mode of Payment:
Online: Candidates can pay the application fee through SBI’s net banking facility or using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.
Offline: Candidates can also pay the application fee by depositing the fee in any branch of SBI or bank account. Upon depositing the fee, candidates must enter the details of the paid receipt to complete the payment.
How To Withdraw CDS 1 2023 Application Form?
The application fee, once paid, will not be refunded. To withdraw CDS 1 Form 2023, candidates must follow the steps outlined below:

An OTP will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID and mobile number.
After validating the OTP, the request for UPSC CDS form withdrawal will be processed.
As soon as the withdrawal request for the CDS 2023 application is accepted, aspirants should print the receipt.
