Mode of Payment

Applicants have the option to pay the application fee online and offline as per their convenience.

  • Online: Candidates can pay the application fee through SBI’s net banking facility or using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card.
  • Offline: Candidates can also pay the application fee by depositing the fee in any branch of SBI or bank account. Upon depositing the fee, candidates are required to enter the details of the paid receipt in order to complete the payment.

How to Apply Online for CDS 2 2022?

The CDS 2 application form has two parts: Part-I and Part-II.

Part-I: This part involves the registration process. Candidates have to enter personal details and other information in part 1. Upon successful registration, a registration ID will be generated, which will be required to proceed to part 2 of filling up the CDS application form.

Part-II: In part 2, candidates have to enter their payment details, examination centre, and upload their photograph, signature, photo identity card, and declaration.

3rd Step: Candidates will see the examination code ‘CDS 2’. Click on ‘Click Here for Part I’.

4th Step: Read the instructions carefully that are available both in Hindi and English. Next, click on ‘Yes‘ (refer to the image below).

  • Final year degree or equivalent examination (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)
  • Final year of the engineering degree examination
  • Final year degree or equivalent examination with other subjects (i.e. other than those mentioned)

6th Step: Click on ‘Continue’

7th Step: Enter the following:

  1. Photo identity card details
  2. Whether or not you hold commercial pilot licence issued by DGCA (India)
  3. Preferences among IMA, NA, AFA, OTA, and other details

8th Step: Click on ‘Continue’

9th Step: Validate all the information that has been provided, enter the Captcha and click on ‘I Agree

10th Step: The Registration ID will be generated. Note it down

Part-II UPSC CDS Form Registration

Once the system has generated the registration ID, a new option called ‘Click Here for Part II Registration’ will be activated. Click on the option to continue by entering the registration ID, date of birth, and captcha.

Candidates also have the option to complete the Part-II registration later. Candidates can leave for the time being and complete the application process before the application window closes. However, it is advisable to finish the application earlier to avoid delays due to software issues.

4th Step: Enter the registration ID, date of birth, and captcha.
5th Step: Click on ‘Submit’.
6th Step: Select a mode of payment. If offline payment has been opted, then generate an e-challan and make the payment in one of the branches of SBI.
7th Step: Once the application fee has been paid, select the preferences for the exam centre.
8th Step: Upload the photograph, signature, and photo ID proof.
9th Step: Agree to the declaration and submit the application form.

CDS Eligibility Criteria 2022

Age Limit: Candidates below 25 years of age can apply for the combined defence services examination.

Withdrawal of CDS 2 2022 Registration Form

If a candidate does not wish to appear for the examination, they can withdraw the CDS application form. However, the candidate should note that the CDS application fee will not be refunded.

  • The dates for UPSC CDS Apply Online Form withdrawal was released on June 14, 2022.
  • Candidates are required to provide the details of the registered application with the registration ID.
  • After submitting the request to withdraw the CDS application form, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. It will be valid for 30 minutes.
  • Upon validating the OTP, the candidate’s application form will be considered for withdrawal.
