GUJCET Reservation Criteria 2022: Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will announce the GUJCET reservation criteria 2022 for candidates depending on their category. The GUJCET 2022 was conducted on April 18, 2022. Candidates appearing for the exam must know the reservation criteria in order to select the colleges during admission. GUJCET reservation criteria will define the number of seats allocated for each category.

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is conducted to select students for undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses in the state. GUJCET Reservation Criteria 2022

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) offers reservations to all the special categories according to the policies of the Gujarat state. If the candidate belongs to the reserved category and meets the respective criteria then they shall be allowed to have the reserved seat for admission. 

After the announcement of the GUJCET result, candidates will need to take part in the counselling session. During the procedure of counselling, candidates will be asked to produce certain documents for verification. Reserved category candidates will have to submit the category certificate also. GUJCET Reservation Criteria 2022: Highlights

Candidates can check the section below to know the important points and claim the GUJCET reserved seats.

  1. Candidates who have applied for admission under the reserved category will have to produce the certificate for the same.
  2. Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) will have to produce a certificate stating their non-inclusion in Creamy Layer, with a category certificate.
  3. The category certificate or the non-inclusion in Creamy Layer certificate will not be considered unless it is signed, stamped and issued by the Government of Gujarat.
  4. Candidates with a disability will need to submit their disability certificate issued and signed by the Gujarat Government authorities.
  5. Candidates applying for admission under the Ex-Serviceman category will have to submit a certificate issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board, Gujarat or by the District Sainik Welfare Officer.
  6.  If a candidate fails to bring the documents within the allotted time, they will be considered an unreserved category.
  7. In case a candidate submits a fake certificate or the certificates are found invalid during the document verification process, the candidate will not be allowed admission through reservation.
  8. If the candidate has been allotted under the reservation and is found that the category certificates are invalid, his/her reservation shall be cancelled.
  9. After all the reserved candidates are allotted seats and the reserved seats still remain vacant, the seats will be transformed into unreserved categories.

GUJCET Reservation Criteria: Eligibility

Note that candidates applying under the reserved category must also fulfil the general GUJCET eligibility criteria 2022. Here are the GUJCET eligibility criteria for 2022 for candidates’ reference.

Domicile Candidates should meet the domicile requirements of Gujarat
Academic QualificationThe candidates should have passed class 12th exam from a recognised board. The candidates who are awaiting their result of class 12th (qualifying exam) can also apply.
Marks requiredCandidates should have scored at least 45% aggregate in class 12th board. For the reserved category, the minimum required percentage is 40%.

GUJCET Reservation Criteria 2022: Application Form

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) released the application form on January 25, 2022, on the official website. The last date to fill out the online application form was February 9, 2022. Interested candidates can check this section to know the steps to fill out the application form for the upcoming year.

1st Step: New User Registration

The candidates must visit the official website and select the program from the drop-down list. On the new screen enter the date of birth, 14 digit PIN, user-id, and roll number to begin the registration process. 

2nd Step: Filling the Details

The candidates will need to provide their personal details along with the security pin and password. Accept the declaration to submit the registration details. 

3rd Step: Registration Confirmation Page Print-out

The candidates will be directed to the registration confirmation page to analyse the entered details. In this step, aspirants can make changes or edit the details in the application form. Take the print of the page for further reference. 

4th Step: Registration at Help Centre

After filling in the details, candidates will be required to confirm their registration at the help centre. The aspirants must carry two copies of the registration details and a self-attested copy of the relevant documents. 

5th Step: Verification of Details

The officials will verify the details provided by the candidate and issue a registration slip. The slip will be signed and sealed by the authority.
