JEE Main 2023 Correction Window: On March 13, the National Testing Agency (NTA) initiated the process of correcting the application form for session 2 of JEE Main 2023. Candidates can modify or rectify their previously submitted details until March 14, 2023 (till 9.00 p.m.), using the online mode via the official website.

By logging in with their application ID and password, candidates can edit the details they provided in their session 2 JEE Main 2023 application form. The JEE Main 2023 form correction window is only available online. Candidates who successfully submit their application form will be eligible to download the JEE Main admit card 2023. JEE Main 2023 Correction Window: Editable Fields

Based on the JEE Main information brochure, the following list of details candidates will be allowed for correction:

  1. Name
  2. Signature/ thumb impression
  3. Photograph
  4. Academic details (qualifying exam details)
  5. Choice of question paper (Paper 1 to Paper 2, or vice-versa)
  6. Examination language (only from the list of languages available in the portal)
  7. Category details 
  8. Correspondence address/ Permanent address
  9. Aadhaar card details
  10. City of examination (or examination centre)

The candidates cannot change the Mode of Examination through the correction portal. Candidates can apply for a change from pen-paper-based mode to CBT (subject to availability), but not the other way around.

  • 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
  • 2nd Step: Login using your mobile number/email.
  • 3rd Step: Select your ‘Goal’ as ‘JEE Main’ under Engineering.

Additional Fee for Modifications to JEE Main Application Form

During the application form correction process, JEE Main 2023 candidates must pay an additional fee (if applicable) through net banking, credit card, debit card, UPI, or Paytm. Only those candidates who fill and submit the form within the designated time will be issued the JEE Main 2023 admit card.

Candidates might be required to pay an additional fee in the following two scenarios:

  1. The candidate chooses to change the category from SC/ST/OBC to General (as there is a concession for students belonging to the unreserved category)
  2. In case the candidate chooses to appear for both papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2)


Steps To Correct Information in JEE Main Application Form

Students willing to make any change in their JEE Main application form can log on to the official website of NTA and start making the changes as soon as the correction window opens. The detailed steps are enumerated as follows:

  • 1st Step: Visit NTA’s official website, i.e. jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • 2nd Step: Find the ‘Login for Correction in Application Form’ tab and log in with your application number and password.
  • 3rd Step: Find the ‘Correction for JEE Main Session 2- Application’ link and click on it.
  • 4th Step: Make the necessary changes in the application form.
  • 5th Step: Submit the additional fee if applicable, save and exit.

JEE Main Application Form Correction- Details That Can Be Corrected

For candidates who have not verified their AADHAR details, the following details can be corrected during the JEE Main 2023 application form correction process:

  • Father’s and Mother’s name: Candidates can modify the name of either their father or mother (but not both).
  • Qualification with the passing year: Candidates can also make necessary corrections to the details of their qualifications in the 10th and 12th or equivalent passing examinations.
  • Category: Candidates can change their category or upload a new category certificate, but they cannot do both.
  • City and medium: Candidates can change their exam city preferences and select the medium in which they want to give the JEE Main 2023 exam.
  • Course: Candidates can correct or add the selected courses while filling out the application form.

The following details can be corrected during the JEE Main 2023 application form correction process for candidates who have not verified their AADHAR details:

  • Candidate’s Name, Father’s, and Mother’s name: Candidates can modify their name, father’s name, or mother’s name (but only one of them).
