JEE Main 2025 Counselling: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) authorities conduct the JEE Main 2025 counselling process. JEE Mains Counselling Latest Updates:
— JoSAA is to begin the first round of JEE Main seat allotment on June 30, 2025 tentatively, while the second and third rounds will start on July 6 and 12, respectively.

JEE Main 2025 Counselling

JoSAA established the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Human Resources Development [MHRD] to supervise and control candidates’ admittance to various participating institutes. The authorities have yet to notify the total number of provisions for the JEE admissions 2025. However, as per the last year’s trends, about 23 IITs, 26 IIITs, IIEST Shibpur, 31 NITs, and 29 other Government-Funded Technical Institutes will be included in this list (Other-GFTIs). JoSAA seat allotment results are being declared on josaa.nic.in.

• 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
• 2nd Step: Login through your mobile number/email
• 3rd Step: Then select your ‘Goal’ as ‘JEE Main’ under Engineering
• 4th Step: Click ‘Next’ and select your preferred language
• 5th Step: Once done, click the links below to take the TEST.

JEE Counselling 2025 Seat Allotment Process

Candidates participating in JEE Counselling 2025 will undergo the step-wise procedure to fill their choice booking slot. Candidates must complete the detailed steps to correct their choice and seat booking.

Admission to all the academic programs these institutes offer will be made through a single platform. Candidates clearing the JEE Main cut-off marks will be eligible, and they will have to go through the following steps for JEE Main Counselling and seat allotment procedure:

1st Step: JEE Main Counselling 2023 Registration

Candidates must visit the JoSAA official website at josaa.nic.in. Candidates must log in using their JEE Main 2025 Application Number, Password, and Security Pin. Fill in the required details in their JEE Main counselling form from JoSAA. Select the declaration and click on Submit. Once done, verify all the details and click the ‘Confirm Registration’ button.

2nd Step: JEE Main 2025 Choice Filling and Locking

Candidates will then be asked to select the colleges from which they want to complete their graduation. The colleges should be selected in the order of priority and preference of the candidates. The most preferred college should be selected first, and the least preferred option should be the last one on the list.

After selecting the choices, candidates have to lock the choices before the deadline. Please note that the choice locking can be edited after completing every JEE Main 2025 Counselling round.

3rd Step: JoSAA Seat Allotment and Announcement of Rank List

Once a candidate has locked his preferences, JoSAA will start the college allotment to candidates depending on several factors:

• Candidate’s Category (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, etc.)
• The candidates for academic programs and institutes lock the priority order.
• Availability of seats under various categories or quotas for which the candidate is eligible.

Please note that the candidates will get notified about their seat allotment by JoSAA on their registered email ID and mobile numbers. After completing the seat allotment process, they must select the following options.

• Float: If a candidate wishes to keep the allotted seat but wants to upgrade, they can choose this option.
• Freeze: If candidates are satisfied with their allocated seats and do not wish to participate in further rounds of counselling, they can select this option.
• Slide: If candidates wish to accept the allotted seat but want to upgrade the programme in the same institute, they can select this option.
• Withdraw: If candidates have already accepted the allotted seat, they may withdraw by reporting at the allotted institute before the final round of seat allotment.

4th Step: JEE Main 2025 Allotment Letter and Seat Acceptance Fee

After the seat allotment, candidates can download their Provisional Seat Allotment Letter. Once the seat allotment fee is paid, the officials will confirm the candidates’ seats under a particular JEE counselling round.

Please note that candidates can only pay their acceptance fees through the online payment mode. It is expected that for open-category candidates, the JEE Main counselling fee for seat acceptance will be Rs. 35,000, whereas, for the SC/ ST/ PwD, candidates must pay INR 15,000/-.

5th Step: Reporting at the Allotted Institutes

Finally, the candidate will have to report to the allotted institute to confirm the time of admission. Aspirants have to report to the designated centre for physical document verification. If document verification fails, the candidate’s admission will be cancelled. Original documents and a set of photocopies will be required for submission.

Once a candidate completes the procedures, the institute can obtain the final acknowledgement and confirm their admission.
