The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is the leading body for the Class 10 examination. The exam conducting body, JKBOSE was formed according to the 1975 law on School Education of the State of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an autonomous agency under the administration of the Jammu and Kashmir Government, based in Jammu and Srinagar. The respective body conducts exams for two zones- hard zones and soft zones. The soft zone exams are conducted before the hard zone ones.
Approximately 1 to 1.5 lakh students from both the Jammu and Kashmir divisions take the Class 10 exams. The soft zone exams are conducted in March, whereas the hard zone exams are conducted in April. JKBOSE issued a notice saying the registration cards and roll number slips/admit cards of the students shall be downloaded from their respective school/institution’s online portal.
As per the official notice, the JKBOSE will conduct Class 10 exams for soft zone areas from March 7 till April 3, 2024. We have added the JKBOSE Class 10 date sheet in the table below.
Jammu and Kashmir Board Class 10 Exam Registration Process 2024
Students must fill out the Jammu and Kashmir Class 10 application form as per the school guidelines. If you have any doubts, you must contact the school authority. The registration form is usually released in December.
Candidates with 5 compulsory subjects have to pay Rs 1020 as the registration fee. Students who have additional subjects will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1210. Students who fail to fill out the JKBOSE Class 10 application form on time will have to pay an additional late fee of Rs 700.

The Jammu and Kashmir Board will conduct the Class 10 exams in two divisions: hard zone and soft zone. Students appearing from the respective zones must keep a close check for the dates. The Jammu and Kashmir Board releases the Class 10 admit card for both, hard and soft zones on January 23, 2024. The official date for the release of JKBOSE Class 10 admit card 2024 was announced in a notice. Students preparing for the JKBOSE Class 10 can keep a check on this space to know about the admit card. Students must verify the details on the admit card and reach out to the school authorities if they need any changes.

Students cannot download the JKBOSE Class 10 admit card as they do not have the login credentials to the official website. Schools can download the admit card for their respective students by following the steps properly. The steps to download the JKBOSE Class 10 admit card are as follows:
1st Step: Visit the official website of the Jammu and Kashmir Board, i.e., jkbose.nic.in.
2nd Step: Under the Latest Updates section on the Homepage, search for JKBOSE Class 10 Admit Card. Click on the link.
3rd Step: In the new window, enter the login credentials and click on Submit.
4th Step: The page containing the JKBOSE Class 10 admit card will appear on the screen.

The JKBOSE Class 10 results for soft and hard zones are announced separately. After the exams are conducted, the results will be made available online on the official website within 2 months. There will be a gap of around a month between the announcement of the results as they are conducted separately. Apart from the official website, students will also be able to check their results via SMS. The Jammu and Kashmir Board Class 10 Supplementary exam 2024 will be conducted tentatively in July and August for the hard and soft zones respectively. The supplementary exams will be held separately for both of the zones as results are announced separately. Students who did not qualify in a particular subject or are unhappy with their results can appear in the supplementary exam to rectify the marks. Students who will be appearing for the JKBOSE Class 10 supplementary exam will need to fill out the registration form and collect their admit card through offline mode only.
