SSC CGL Application Form 2022: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the application status for the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam on November 16, 2022. The application status has been released for the SSC Eastern Region and Karnataka-Kerala Region. The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2022 is scheduled to be conducted from December 01 to 13, 2022 in multiple shifts across the country.

How To Apply Online for SSC CGL 2022?

Candidates must have a valid and active email id. SSC will use this id to send the registration number, password, exam date, venue, etc. The application procedure for the SSC CGL exam includes two phases:

Part I Registration – Aspirants must fill in basic details and post preferences.
Part II Registration  Applicants must enter payment details and upload scanned signatures and photographs.

SSC CGL Part I Registration

  • Visit the SSC official website, ssc.nic.in
  • On the main page, click on ‘Examination – Part I Registration‘.
  • Click on the ‘Online Form Click Here’ link, and the application form for Part I Registration will open.
  • Fill in all the mandatory information like Select Centre and Code, Name, Father’s Name, DOB, Gender, Category, Postal Address, etc.
  • Fill the post preference order (refer to SSC CGL Post Preference 2022)
  • After that, click on the ‘I Agree’ button.

After submitting Part I of the application form, a registration no. and password will be generated to complete the Part II Registration.

SSC CGL Part II Registration

  • Visit the official website, ssc.nic.in
  • On the main page, click on the ‘Examination – Part II Registration’.
  • Enter the registration no., and password, which was generated after submitting Part I of the application form.
  • Applicants will get the option of making online or offline payments and uploading scanned photos and signatures.
  • Pay the application fees either online mode or via offline mode.
  • In the online method (Credit Cards/ Debit card/ Net Banking), the candidate will directly be stepped up to the second phase, ‘Uploading Scanned Photo and Signature’.
  • In the offline method, a Challan form will be generated. Aspirants should take the printed Challan to any SBI Branch for Payment of application fees. They must note down the Transaction Number given by the bank.

  • No fee is required to be paid by female, ST, SC, PwD, and Ex-servicemen applicants.
  • Application fees should be paid only via State Bank of India (SBI) Challan or SBI Net Banking, or any other bank/credit/debit card.
  • To pay the application fee in cash, applicants should take a hard copy of the Challan generated online after completing the SSC CGL 2022 Part I registration.
  • After paying the application fee in any branch of SBI, continue with the SSC CGL Part II registration 2022.
  • Aspirants who want to pay the online application fee may go directly to Part II registration after completing the Part I registration process.

SSC CGL Application Form Documents Specifications

Check out the instructions for uploading photographs and signatures:

  • The digital size of the file of the photographs must be more than 4 kb and less than 12 kb with a resolution of 100-pixel width and 120-pixel height.
  • The signature must be uploaded in jpg format. The digital size of the signature file must be more than 1 kb and less than 12 kb with a resolution of 40-pixel width by 60-pixel height.
  • If aspirants find that he/she has made some mistakes while entering details in the registration part, they have the option of editing the registration part.
  • The aspirants should log in to the default page and use the option ‘View/Edit Registration’ by filling in the date of birth, registration number, and password.

SSC CGL Application Correction Window

The SSC started the application correction window online on its official website. Candidates who want to make changes/modifications to their application form can visit the official website. Moreover, they need to log in using their credentials, such as the ‘Registration Number’ and ‘Password’, to correct or modify their application forms.

Check some important instructions regarding the correction window below:

  • During the correction window, candidates can correct/modify their application parameters. Moreover, they can also make changes to the one-time registration data.
  • Only those candidates who have completed their applications and paid the requisite fee within the specified period can make corrections in the form.
  • If a candidate also makes a mistake in his/her updated application, then they can modify the application form only once.
  • Candidates’ latest modified applications will be treated as valid ones, and the previously submitted application(s) will be cancelled.
  • The correction charges are ₹200 for the first time and ₹500 for the second time. Furthermore, correction charges apply to all candidates irrespective of gender and category.
  • Candidates can pay the correction charges online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards. There is no facility for payment through an offline Challan.
  • The correction charges are neither refundable nor adjustable against any other examination.
  • Candidates must check if they have filled correct details in each field of the form or not before submitting the corrected application. After the correction window is over, SSC will not allow any change or modification under any circumstances.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2022

Staff Selection Commission has laid down the following eligibility guidelines for candidates willing to appear for the SSC CGL Examination 2022. 


The candidate must be an Indian citizen or any one of the following:

  • Subjects of Nepal or,
  • Subjects of Bhutan or,
  • Tibetan refugees who came over to India before January 01, 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that these candidates (except for Indians) produce a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India at the time of appointment.

Educational Qualification

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

  • Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or Institute
  • Desired Qualification: Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics

Junior Statistical Officer

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognised University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level (OR)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognised University or Institute.
  • The candidates must have studied statistics in all three years of the graduation course.

All Other Posts

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or equivalent.

Age Limit

The generalised age criteria for SSC CGL is 18 to 32 years as of January 01, 2022. Different posts have different age criteria. Age relaxation for some specific categories, the candidate’s age limit is relaxed for the SSC CGL Application form.
