GMAT Sample Paper 2022: The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer-adaptive test that assesses the candidates’ analytical writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in standard written English. GMAT is taken to get admission into a graduate management program like MBA and Masters in Finance-related courses in top business schools across the world. The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 45 minutes excluding the analytical writing section. 

The GMAT exam pattern comprises 4 sections – Verbal reasoning, Quantitative reasoning, Integrated reasoning, and Analytical Writing (optional) offering MCQs. The total number of questions in these 3 sections is 79 and the analytical writing section has 1 descriptive question. GMAT Question Papers: Exam Pattern

We advise candidates who are preparing for the GMAT exam to practice the GMAT question paper 2022. Additionally, we also suggest checking the exam pattern and syllabus for the exam. The exam pattern gives an idea about the actual exam and the syllabus including the topic from which the questions are asked. Therefore, candidates need to keep the exam pattern and syllabus in their minds and prepare for the exam accordingly. GMAT is a computer-based online exam and the exam has a total of four sections which are Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA), Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Verbal Reasoning. Candidates have to answer a total of 80 questions in a total of 187 minutes. 

The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) section consists of one essay and the questions are asked from the same essay only. The second section which is the Integrated Reasoning (IR) section consists of graphical and data analysis questions and only objective-type questions.   • One question will be displayed on the screen at a time and the answer choices for the objective type (multiple-choice) questions will be preceded by circles.
  • Different question types will also appear in random order in the multiple-choice section and Integrated reasoning sections.
  • Candidates have to answer using the computer mouse or laptop cursor. Candidates can move toward the next question only after confirming the choice for the question displayed on the screen. 
  • Candidates will have the flexibility to select the order for the sections as per their choices from the below-given options:

Problem Solving

Q: Running at the same constant rate, 6 identical machines can produce a total of 33 widgets per hour. At this rate, how many widgets could 14 such machines produce in 3 hours?

Data Sufficiency

During a particular period, water enters a partially filled reservoir at a constant rate through a mountain stream. At the same time, water is pumped out of the reservoir at a constant rate through an outlet pipe. At what rate, in gallons per minute, is the amount of water in the reservoir increasing?

  • The amount of water initially in the reservoir is 1800 gallons.
  • Water is pumped into the reservoir at a rate of 8 gallons per minute and out of the reservoir at a rate of 20 gallons every 3 minutes.

a) Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
b) Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
c) BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.

Sentence Correction

How GMAT Scores Are Calculated?

Before taking the GMAT exam, candidates must be aware of how exactly the scores are calculated in the exam. A number of students do not know how they can get a score of 720 or above. Scores are calculated in a different manner in the GMAT exam. In GMAT, quantitative and verbal sections are scored on a scale of 0 to 60. A score below 6 and above 51 is rare. The total GMAT score obtained by the candidates ranges from 200 to 800 which is completed based on performance by the candidates in these two sections only. In GMAT, the score is determined on the basis of the following:

  • The number of questions answered by the student
  • The number of questions answered by the students correctly or incorrectly
  • The difficulty level of the exam 
  • Other statistical characteristics of each question
