ICSE Class 10 Exam Preparation Tips

To score maximum marks in any exam, students need a detailed strategy to cover the entire syllabus and revise. The Class 10 exam is a board-level exam and thus students will be competing with ICSE students of other schools too. Thus, to be among the top rankers, students need to put their best foot forward and study sincerely. Students studying in ICSE class 10 can follow these exam preparation tips, listed below:

  • Read the syllabus of each subject thoroughly.
  • In each subject, highlight topics/chapters you find difficult.
  • Make a weekly schedule and allocate at least a few hours each day.
  • Utilise weekends, and holidays to put in more hours to study.
  • Create a subject-wise chart and allot the number of days you may need to prepare.
  • Further, break the subjects into topics. Complete the topic in the time assigned.
  • At the end of each week, revise the topics prepared for that week. Without revision, you may not retain much during the final exam.
  • You can finish easy topics first and then give ample time to difficult ones.
  • Practice as many questions as you can get your hands on.
  • Solve previous years’ papers, take mock tests, and solve sample papers.
  • Continue revising regularly.
  • Jot down important tips, tricks, formulae, or anything that adds value to your answer.
  • Stay relaxed, eat healthily and sleep for at least 6 hours daily.
  • Do refreshing activities like meditation, painting, and listening to music. Be careful not to spend too much time on them.
  • Taking a 5-10 minutes break is fine after studying every hour.
  • Group study with good friends can also help you determine your readiness.
