Indian Air Force (IAF) released a notice regarding the recruitment to the post of Lower Division Clerk on May 21, 2022. The IAF selection process consists of three stages: a written test or adaptability test-1 & test 2, PFT, and a medical examination.

IAF Group C Eligibility

The officials of the Indian Air Force hire eligible candidates for various Group C Posts to recruit them in numerous stations across the country. The Group C Civilian posts are Cook, Mess Staff, House Keeping Staff, MTS, Hindi Typist, LDC, Store Keeper, Carpenter, Painter, Superintendent and Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver. Here, we have mentioned the basic eligibility criteria for each post as per the guidelines of the conducting body.

• Lower Division Clerk: The candidate must have a 12th pass degree from a recognized board. Also, the typing speed should be 35 wpm (in English) or 30 wpm (in Hindi) on the computer.
• Hindi Typist: The candidate must have a 12th pass degree from a recognized board. Also, the typing speed should be 35 wpm (in English) or 30 wpm (in Hindi) on the computer.
• Store Keeper: The candidate must have a 12th pass degree or equivalent from a recognized university or board.
• Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade): The candidate must have a Matriculation pass degree or equivalent from a recognized board or university. Also, he/she must hold a valid Civil Driving License for light and heavy vehicles, possess professional skills in driving and knowledge of motor mechanisms and have a minimum of two years experience in driving motor vehicles.
• Cook (Ordinary Grade): The candidate must have a Matriculation pass degree from a recognized board and a certificate or diploma in catering. Also, he/she must have at least one year of experience in the trade.
• Painter (Skilled)/Carpenter: The candidate must have a 10th pass degree from a recognized board. Along with that, he/she must have the Industrial Training Institute Certificate in the trade from any recognised institute.
• House Keeping Staff/Mess Staff/MTS: The candidate must have a 10th pass degree from a recognized board.
• Supdt (Store): The candidate must have a graduate degree from any recognized university or board.

IAF Flying Branch Eligibility

For SSC Entry, a candidate must apply through AFCAT. The eligibility is mentioned below:

A logistics officer/manager is responsible for all the types of equipment that come and go into the Indian Air Force campus. He/She is also responsible for inventory management and procurement of Aircraft parts.

5. Join IAF Meteorology Branch Officer

As a Meteorology Branch Officer, you will provide assistance on weather conditions to operators. You will handle the world’s finest monitoring equipment and monitor the latest satellite imagery.

IAF Salary and Allowances

An officer at the Indian Airforce is eligible to get Flying and Technical Allowance based on the branch he is commissioned at. The Salary for Indian Air Force employees is given below:
