Join Indian Army: Tour of Duty
Indian Army is holding a program to bring young working professionals to join the Indian Army for a three-year tenure as officers and in other ranks for a variety of roles.
The program name is known as Tour of Duty, in short, “ToD” for 3 years which is being exhibited in the wake of “Resurgence of Nationalism and Patriotism” in the country.
What is ToD?
A. Tour of Duty is nothing but the young professional who doesn’t want to join the Indian Army but wants to experience the life at Indian Army. According to the latest proposal, the young professionals will be recruited under the ToD and they will be eligible to be deployed as combatants in key forward locations and there will be no restrictions in their roles.
“If approved it will be a voluntary engagement and there will be no dilution in selection criteria. Initially, 100 officers and 1,000 men are being considered for recruitment as part of test-bedding of the project.”
