NDA 2 Notification 2022

The NDA 2 notification 2022 was released on May 18, 2022, at upsc.gov.in, announcing 400 vacancies for boys and girls to be recruited for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy for the fiscal year 2022-23. Note –

  • NDA exam is conducted to recruit candidates in India’s prestigious defence organisations, i.e. Army, Navy, and Air Force.
  • UPSC is responsible for conducting the written exam, while SSB is responsible for taking the interview.
  • After the NDA exam and SSB, shortlisted candidates will be recruited to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).

UPSC NDA Eligibility Criteria 2022

To be eligible for the exam, candidates must meet the following NDA 2022 Eligibility criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian or a citizen of Bhutan/Nepal or a Tibetan refugee or have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam.
  • Age Limit, Sex, and Marital Status: Both male and female candidates for the NDA 1 exam must have been born between July 2, 2002, and July 1, 2005. Both male and female candidates for the NDA 2 exam must have been born between January 2, 2003, and January 1, 2006.
  • Educational Qualification: Different academies have different educational requirements. Candidates can see the educational criteria in the table below.

How to Apply for NDA-2 Recruitment?

Candidates can follow the stepwise procedure to apply for the NDA 2022 exam:

1st Step: Go to the official website of UPSC: upsconline.nic.inNote that the link might show that the connection is not secure for mobile users. So, go to “Advanced” and click on “Proceed to upsconline.nic.in”.
2nd Step: Click on Online Application for Various Examinations of UPSC and then on the relevant link to apply for NDA 2022 Exam.
3rd Step: A new page will appear where you must fill Part-I and Part-II to complete the application procedure.
4th Step: In Part I, candidates have to enter their Personal Details and other information to register themselves. Upon successful registration, a Registration ID will be generated. This Registration ID will be required to proceed to Part II of filling up the NDA Application Form.
5th Step: In Part II, candidates must enter their payment details and preferred examination centre and upload a Photograph, Signature, Card Document, and Photo Identity.
6th Step: Agree to the terms and conditions.
7th Step: Click on Submit NDA 2 Application form.

  • Offline Mode: Required to submit Pay-in-slip to any branch of SBI.
  • Online Mode: Has to pay using debit/ credit card or internet banking.

NDA Selection Process 2022

There are two stages in the NDA selection process, i.e. Written Test and SSB Interview. Candidates must clear the Written Examination to move to the second stage, i.e. SSB Interview. 

The SSB Interview comprises various psychological and intelligence tests, which will be conducted for 5 days. After the SSB interview, document verification and medical examination will be conducted. Based on the final merit list, candidates will be asked to report for the medical examination.

After selection, candidates have to undergo training at Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy. On successful completion of training, the candidate will serve as an Indian Army/ Navy/ Air Force Officer.

The NDA Exam has negative markings. One-third of the marks allotted to a question will be reduced on every wrong attempt.

NDA 2022 Syllabus

Candidates appearing for the NDA 2 exam must prepare for subjects like Mathematics, General Knowledge and English Subjects.

Mathematics: Integral calculus and Differential Equations, Matrices & Determinants, Algebra, Analytical Geometry of two and three Dimensions, Statistics and Probability, Trigonometry, Differential Calculus, Vector Algebra, etc.

English: The candidate will be assessed based on the understanding of English and workman, like the use of words. This syllabus will cover Grammar and Usage, Vocabulary, Comprehension, Antonyms and Synonyms.

General Knowledge: The question paper on General Knowledge will cover the subjects like Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography and Current Events.

NDA 2022 Admit Card

The NDA hall ticket can be downloaded via logging in with the Roll Number or Registration Number. The candidates will not get any hard copy of their hall ticket via post.

NDA 2022 Result

The written and final NDA results are released online in two stages. A merit list for both stages will be released on the day of the NDA result. Candidates whose names are present in the NDA Result PDF are required to appear for the SSB Interview.
