NDA Application Form 2023
To register for the NDA Exam 2023, interested and eligible candidates must submit their application forms. The Union Public Service Commission is in charge of administering NDA exams, and an online registration link is available on its official website, upsc.gov.in.

NDA Form 2023 Apply Online Link
Applicants must know the detailed NDA Eligibility Criteria before filling out the online form. Only those who meet the required eligibility criteria will be allowed to submit their NDA online form. The NDA form fee is INR 100. The SC/ST/Women/Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from fee payment. To submit your NDA 2 Online Form before the deadline, click on the link mentioned below:
2nd Step: Click on “ONLINE APPLICATION FOR VARIOUS EXAMINATIONS OF UPSC”.
3rd Step: Now, click on “Click Here for PART I” for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy Examination (I). Read the instructions carefully and click on “Yes”.
4th Step: In Page 1, enter your details as mentioned below:
Name – Candidates must enter their name as per the matriculation/secondary examination certificate (Class 10th or Class 12th Result card).
Gender – Select Gender, male or female.
Date of Birth – The date of birth should be entered in dd/mm/yyyy format.
Father’s Name and Mother’s Name – Do not use prefixes such as Shri, Dr, etc.
Nationality – Select the Nationality from the drop-down menu.
Martial Status – Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for the NDA form to fill up.
Community – Select category SC/ST/OBC/General from the drop-down menu.
Fee Remission – Fee exemption is admissible for SC, ST sons of JCOs/NCOs/Ors.
Educational Qualification – Applicants need to select their educational qualification – if they passed Class 12/HSC or appearing for the same.
Address and Email ID – Please enter the correct address and mobile number. All the communications will be done through the information you have filled in the NDA form. Along with the address and email ID, candidates also need to provide their contact numbers.
5th Step: Click on “Continue”.
6th Step: In Page 2, candidates need to choose their preferences out of the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy as mentioned below:
Preferences have to be made by selecting the numbers from 1 to 4.
Mark ‘0’ if you do not want to give any preference.
Those who are from Sanik/Military School or Son of JCO/NCO/Other Rank Officer have to enter details.
7th Step: On Page 3, candidates need to verify the details entered in the NDA Application Form. Once you have pressed the “I Agree” button, no more changes can be made.
8th Step: In Page 4, candidates can generate their Registration ID. Note down the registration number, name, father’s name, DOB, email ID, etc. An email will also be sent to the candidate’s email ID.
If you want to pay the application fee offline, you must print out the Pay-in-slip.

1. Fee Payment
The NDA Application Fee can be paid both online as well as offline. Candidates can check the application fee for general and reserve category categories below:

Mode of Payment – The NDA Application Fee can be paid through any branch of SBI Bank. In offline payment, candidates need to take the printout of the pay-in-slip during part-II registration and deposit the fee. Candidates can also pay the NDA Application fee through net banking.
Candidates should note that payment of the application fee should be made only through prescribed modes.
The application fee paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
The application form will be rejected for candidates whose payment details are not received from the bank.
2. Selection of Examination Centre
Candidates need to select the exam centre as per their choices.
3. Uploading of Photograph and Signature
The scanned images should be in JPG format. The file size is mentioned in the below table:

1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting into my dream undergraduate college”
4th Step: Select the Goal “Defence” from the Dropdown and click on “Next”.
5th Step: Search and Select “NDA & NA” on the search bar and click on “Next”.

How to Withdraw NDA Online Form?
Candidates can withdraw their NDA 2023 application form by following the detailed steps outlined below:
Visit the official website of UPSC – upsconline.nic.in.
Look for the link “Online request for withdrawal of application for various UPSC examinations” or Click here to Withdraw the NDA 1 Registration Form 2023.
Pay close attention to all key instructions displayed on your screen.
Select either ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ from the drop-down at the bottom of the page. The withdrawal facility is available for those candidates who do not want to appear in the exam.
Agree to the terms and conditions.
Enter the Registration ID.
Click on the ‘Continue’ button.
Separate OTPs will be sent to candidates’ registered mobile numbers and email IDs.
Enter the OTP without any error.
Click on the “Submit” button.
After the request is accepted for online withdrawal of the application, candidates must print the receipt.
Once the application has been withdrawn, it cannot be revived.
On successful completion of the withdrawal of the application, an auto-generated email and SMS will be sent to the candidate’s registered email id and mobile.
NDA Eligibility Criteria
UPSC provides detailed information about NDA 2023 Eligibility Criteria for the candidates who aspire to join the defence sector. The candidates can refer to the following eligibility criteria as shown below:
Nationality
The candidate must be a citizen of India,
A subject of Nepal or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Age Limit
For NDA 1, candidates must have been born not earlier than July 2, 2003, and not later than July 1, 2006.
For NDA 2, candidates must have been born not earlier than January 2, 2004, and not later than January 1, 2007.
The candidates should keep note that the only date of birth as recorded in the Secondary School Examination Certificate available will be accepted by the Commission.
These documents need to be submitted after the declaration of the result.
The candidates need to know that once the date of birth is entered into the records of the Commission, no changes will be allowed to make.
Candidates should note that they cannot marry until the completion of the training period.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification specified by the officials are listed below:
For National Defence Academy: The candidate should have passed the 10+2 board exams from a recognised board or University.
For Naval Academy: The candidate should have cleared Class 12 board examination in 10+2 pattern or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognised board.
The candidates who are appearing for Class 11 are not eligible for this test.
Those candidates who have yet to qualify in their Class 12 or equivalent exams will be allowed to give the UPSC exam as a special concession. Such candidates must submit proof of passing the class 12 or equivalent examination by the prescribed date.
Candidates debarred from the Ministry of Defence from holding any type of Commission in Defence Services will not be eligible for the examination.
The candidates must be physically fit for admission to the National Defence Academy. Also, the candidates who have resigned or withdrawn from any training sessions or activities of the Armed Forces are not eligible for the exam.
