The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) oversees Class 9 exams in the State. The MBSE administers high school (Class 9 and 10), higher secondary school (Class 11 and 12), and DIET exams. Every year, the Board issues an official notification containing information about the Mizoram Board Class 9 exam, syllabus, paper pattern, and results.

The MBSE is an autonomous body established to improve the level and quality of education in Mizoram. It began operations on December 2, 1976, with its headquarters in Aizawl.
