NTA UGC NET 2019 application begins on Sept 9; Apply now for UGC NET 2019 Dec session

BENGALURU, September 9: UGC NET 2019 application form for December session has started on September 9. Candidates can apply for UGC NET 2019 December session till October 9. The application of UGC NET 2019 can filled online from the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) – ntanet.nic.in.

Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria begore applying for UGC NET 2019 to ascertain their academic as well as age limit required for the exam. The application form can be filled in multiple stages which includes registration for the exam, filling up academic as well as personal details, uploading of images, payment of examination fees and finally submission of filled application.

Stepwise Procedure on How to Fill UGC NET Application Form

Candidates are check below the stepwise procedure to fill UGC NET 2019 application form for December session.

Step 1 – UGC NET Registration:  Candidates who are appearing for the first time have to register for the exam after that they can fill the application form. While already registered candidates can login using their registration number and password to apply for UGC NET 2019

Step 2 – Filling UGC NET Application Form – At this stage of application process candidates have to enter the required details like preference for the exam center, opted subject for UGC NET, subject studied at PG level, category from which they belong, other details.

Step 3 – Uploading Scanned Images – Candidates are required to upload scanned images only in the specified format and dimensions. Candidates photograph must be taken on or after September 1, 2019. The dimension of photograph must be between 10 kb – 200 kb while the signature must be between 4 kb – 30 kb.

Step 4 – UGC NET Application Fee Payment – Candidates must pay the application fee as per their category. The application fee for General category candidates is Rs. 1000 while for OBC-NCL/ EWS the fee Rs. 500 and SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender have to pay Rs. 250. The payment of application fee can be done through online mode using debit/credit card/ net banking.

UGC NET 2019 December session exam is scheduled to be held in computer-based mode in two slots from December 2 to 6. Candidates must appear for the exam as per the date allotted to them. As per the UGC NET exam pattern, the exam will have two papers I and II. The UGC NET Paper I will have a total of 50 questions from teaching/research aptitude while paper II will have 100 questions from subject selected.

UGC NET is a national level exam conducted by NTA on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) for determining eligibility either for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or both in Indian universities and colleges. The exam aims to ensure minimum standards of qualification and aptitude required for the entrants in teaching professions and research. NTA conducts UGC NET two times a year for nearly 99 subjects.
