How to Select UGC NET Paper 1 Exam Centres 2023

Candidates must choose the CBSE UGC NET exam centres 2023 while filling out the application form. The steps on how to choose exam centres for UGC NET 2023 are as follows:

  • 1st Step: Visit the UGC NET official website by clicking here, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  • 2nd Step: Candidates must navigate through the page and click the ‘Register Now’ link.
  • 3rd Step: Upon clicking the tab, the registration form will be displayed on the screen.
  • 4th Step: Candidates must fill in the required details, such as personal and contact details, and create a password.
  • 5th Step: A system-generated registration ID will be sent to the candidate’s registered phone number and email ID.
  • 6th Step: Now, candidates need to click on the apply now button and login into the UGC portal by giving the registration ID and password which was generated.
  • 7th Step: The application form will be displayed on the screen, and candidates need to fill in the required details such as personal details, educational details, research details, and the post and subject they are applying for.
  • 8th Step: Now, candidates must choose their 3 preferred exam centres in order of priority.
  • 9th Step: Upload scanned image and signature per the specification UGC mentioned.
  • 10th Step: Candidates need to pay the application fee now, and after successfully paying the application fee, a message will appear that confirms the payment.
  • 11th Step: Now, candidates must upload the required documents into the portal and click submit.

UGC NET Exam Day Instructions

Candidates must follow all the instructions below for a smooth UGC NET examination.

  • Candidates must reach the test centre as per the UGC NET exam timing mentioned on the admit card.
  • Candidates should read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the exam.
  • No candidate can enter the exam hall without the admit card and photo ID proof.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre after 8.30 am in the first shift and after 2.30 pm in the second shift.
  • Candidates should report at the centre’s exam room by 8.45 am for the first shift and by 2.45 pm for the second shift.
  • Candidates must not leave the UGC NET exam hall before the paper ends.
  • Upon completion of the paper, candidates must wait for the invigilator’s instructions and not right away get up from their seats to leave the exam hall.
  • Candidates wearing special attire, such as the burqa, hijab, turban, etc., must reach the exam centre early for thorough checking.
  • Candidates should sit on the seat indicating their roll numbers only. The candidature will stand cancelled if candidates change their room or seat independently.
  • Candidates must ensure that the UGC NET question paper 2023 available on the computer is as per their opted subject. In case otherwise, candidates must bring the same to the notice of the invigilator.
  • Calculations and rough work are to be done only on the rough sheet provided at the centres.
  • No candidate should involve in any unfair practices during the exam.
