UGC NET Paper 1 Exam Centres 2022: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the UGC NET Phase 1 exam for December 2021 and June 22 (merged cycle) on July 9, 11, 12, 2022, and will be conducting the Phase 2 exam from September 20 to 30, 2022. The exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of the candidates for Associate Professor and Junior Research Fellowship for universities and colleges across the country.

How to Select UGC NET Paper 1 Exam Centres 2022

Candidates need to choose the CBSE UGC NET exam centres 2022 while filling the application form. The steps on how to choose exam centres for UGC NET 2022 are as follows:

  • Visit the UGC NET official website by clicking here, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  • Candidates need to navigate through the page and click on the ‘Register Now’ tab.
  • Upon clicking the tab, the registration form will be displayed on the screen.
  • Candidates now have to fill in the required details such as personal details, contact details, and create a password.
  • A system-generated registration ID will be sent to the candidate’s registered phone number and email ID.
  • Now, candidates need to click on the apply now button and login into the UGC portal by giving the registration ID and password which was generated.
  • The application form will be displayed on the screen and candidates need to fill in the required details such as personal details, educational details, research details, and the post and subject they are applying for.
  • Now, candidates have to choose their 3 preferred exam centres in order of priority.
  • Upload scanned image and signature as per the specification mentioned by UGC.
  • Candidates need to now pay the application fee and after successfully paying the application fee a message will appear that confirms the payment.
  • Now, candidates need to upload the required documents into the portal and then click submit.

UGC NET Exam Day Instructions

Candidates are required to follow all the instructions given below for a smooth UGC NET examination.

  • Candidates must reach the test centre as per the UGC NET exam timing mentioned on the admit card.
  • Candidates should read the instructions on the admit card carefully and follow them during the exam.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card and photo ID proof.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre after 8.30 am in the first shift and after 2.30 pm in the second shift.
  • Candidates should report at the centre’s exam room by 8.45 am for the first shift and by 2.45 pm for the second shift.
  • Candidates must not leave the UGC NET exam hall before the paper ends.
  • Upon completion of the paper, candidates must wait for the instructions from the invigilator and must not right away get up from their seats to leave the exam hall.
  • Candidates wearing special attire such as the burqa, hijab, turban, etc., must reach the exam centre early for thorough checking.
  • Candidates should sit on the seat indicating their roll numbers only. The candidature will stand cancelled if candidates change their room or seat on their own.
  • Candidates must ensure that the UGC NET question paper 2022 available on the computer is as per their opted subject. In case otherwise, candidates must bring the same to the notice of the invigilator.
  • Calculations and rough work are to be done only in the rough sheet provided at the centres.
  • No candidate should involve in any unfair practices during the exam.
