How to Calculate UGC NET Paper 1 Scores?

Candidates can use the provisional answer key and response sheet to calculate the probable scores. To calculate scores, aspirants must have knowledge of the UGC NET exam pattern and marking scheme. The following is the method to calculate the estimated marks:

• For each correct answer, candidates will get two marks.
• There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
• Aspirants will not get marks for unanswered/ unattempted/ marked for review questions.
• The following is the formula to calculate scores:

UGC NET Paper 1 Scores = (Number of Correct Answers * 2)

Objections on UGC NET Answer Key

NTA opens an objection window for candidates to challenge the provisional answer key. If aspirants are unsatisfied with any question or answer, they can raise objections against it during the objection window. To raise an objection, they must log in using the login credentials. Furthermore, one must pay Rs. 200/- per challenged question/ answer to consider the objections.

After the objection window closes, NTA verifies all the objections and makes necessary changes to the provisional key. Thereafter, they publish the UGC NET result and final answer key. Note that the amount will be refunded to the candidate if the objection is found valid. Furthermore, there is no provision to challenge the final answer key.
