If candidates are unsatisfied with the provisional UGC NET solution key, they can raise objections against it by paying a processing fee of Rs.200 for each question. The payment can be made online through debit card/ credit card/ net banking before July 8, 2023.

The amount will be refunded to the candidates if the objection is found valid. After further discussion, NTA will decide on the challenges and release the final UGC National Eligibility Test Answer key. NTA does not entertain changes after releasing the final UGC NET Answer Key.

How To Challenge the Provisional Answer Key?

The steps to challenge the provisional answer key are as under:

  • 1st Step: Visit the UGC NET official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  • 2nd Step: Click the “View Question Paper and Challenge Provisional Answer Key” link.
  • 3rd Step: Log in using the application number and date of birth.
  • 4th Step: Click on the “Challenge/s Regarding Answer Key” option.
  • 5th Step: Question IDs will be reflected on the screen sequentially. The ID under the “Correct Option” column indicates the correct answer the NTA will use. If candidates want to challenge, they must use one or more of the Option IDs given in the next four columns by checking the boxes.
  • 6th Step: Once candidates click on the desired option, click ‘Save Your Claim’ and head to the next screen.
  • 7th Step: Now, candidates will see a list of the Option IDs they have challenged.
  • 9th Step: Upload supporting documents.
  • 10th Step: Click on ‘Save Your Claim Finally’.
  • 11th Step: Candidates will again come across a screen that displays their challenges. Ensure to make the payment by the preferred mode of payment.

NTA displays the recorded responses along with the provisional answer key on the NTA website before the declaration of the result.
