Candidates who want to participate in SBI clerk recruitment must adhere to the following:
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized institute of India.
Candidates having an integrated dual degree certificate should make sure that their certificate must have a passing date of their integrated dual degree program
Candidates who are in the final year/ semester of graduation may also apply for this recruitment drive however they will have to provide proof regarding their degree that they have passed the graduation exam on or before 16.08.2021
As per the official SBI, clerk criteria candidate will have to indicate the percentage they have gained in their graduation degree and calculate it to the nearest two decimal in the online application form
For Matriculate Ex-servicemen, applicants should have obtained the Indian Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force, after completing at least 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union are eligible to apply for the post.
SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2021: SBI Clerk Age Limit
As per SBI official notification candidates interested in the SBI clerk recruitment drive must have age between 20 years to 28 years as on 1.04.2021. however, SBI provides age relaxation to those candidates who belong to the reserved categories
Relaxation giving to the reserved categories are tabulated below:
PWD (Gen/ EWS)
PWD (SC/ ST)
Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled ExServicemen
The actual period of service rendered in defence services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to max. age of 50 years
Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands & who are not remarried
7 years (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General/ EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates)
Candidates who want to seek age relaxation must submit the necessary certificate at the time of joining if they clear the SBI clerk exam. Candidates will not be allowed to change their category once they fill the online application form.
The Cumulative Age Relaxation will not be available either under any of the above items or in combination with any other items.
SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2021: Total Number of Attempts
There is no restriction by the State Bank of India regarding the number of attempts for the SBI clerk exam. Candidate can participate in the SBI clerk exam up to the nth number of time until they cross the upper limit of filling the online application form

OBC candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer will be eligible for reservations however other OBC candidates will have to mention the general category while applying for the SBI clerk exam.
OBC candidates belonging to the non-creamy layer also need to provide an OBC certificate declaring for the same
EWS category candidate can have the reservation benefits they just need to provide income and asset certificate issued by the government of India
Candidate belonging to the PwD category need to provide a disability certificate issued by medical or any component authorities in the district of residence
Disabled ex-servicemen and their dependence will be given priority over dependents of defence personnel killed or highly disabled
Candidates associated with SBI at present or in the past will not be allowed to participate in the recruitment drive
Candidates having adverse report for week CIBIL or other agency will be rejected
SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2021: Language Proficiency Test
After qualifying SBI clerk mains candidates need to take a language proficiency test. Candidates who don’t want to give the language proficiency test need to produce the 10th or 12th standard mark sheet as proof that they have studied the opted regional language and they don’t have to go for LPT. Candidates are allowed to apply for vacancies in one state only and they can appear for the SBI clerk exam only once a year.
