For those aspiring to become Assistant Professors, pursue a Junior Research Fellowship, or both, at Indian Universities and Colleges, it is advisable to complete and submit their application well ahead of the deadline.

Pre-requisites for UGC NET Registration 2024

It is advised that candidates should keep their documents ready before filling out the UGC NET 2024 application form. The officials will not be responsible for any technical or network issues candidates face on the last day of the application submission. Hence, aspirants are required to keep the following document ready as mentioned below:

  • Aadhar card.
  • Copy of University or Board certificate for the proof of the candidate’s official name, parent’s name and date of birth.
  • ID proof such as bank account number, passport, ration card, voter ID or any other official Government ID.
  • Qualifying mark sheets or the mark sheet of last semester.
  • Corresponding and permanent addresses, along with the respective pin codes, are also important.
  • Four names of the cities as per the candidate’s choice.
  • Code of NET subject for which the applicant plans to take the exam.
  • Code of the subject at the post-graduation level.
  • Code of post-graduation course.
  • Category certificate if applicable.
  • Economically weaker section (EWS) certificate if applicable.
  • A person with a disability (PwD) certificate, if applicable.
  • A valid email ID and mobile number.
  • Scanned Images of photograph and signature in JPG or JPEG format.

Steps To Practice UGC NET Paper 1 Questions on Embibe

Follow the below-mentioned steps to practice unlimited UGC NET Paper 1 questions on Embibe:

  • 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
  • 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
  • 3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job”.
  • 4th Step: Select the Goal “Lecturership” from the Dropdown and click “Next”.
  • 5th Step: Search and Select “UGC NET Paper 1” on the search bar and click “Next”.
  • 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click “Done”.
  • 7th Step: Click “Practice” from the Header Section.
  • 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
  • 9th Step: Click on any UGC NET Paper 1 subjects.

Steps to Fill UGC NET Application Form 2024

Candidate must complete the online application process for the UGC NET 2024 exam in order to be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Assistant Professor. Candidates are advised to follow the step-wise procedure below to fill out the online application form:

Step 1: UGC NET Registration

Register online using a valid email ID and mobile number. Note down the generated application number and save it.

  • Go to the official website of NTA – https://ugcnet.ntaonline.in.
  • On the homepage, scroll down and click on “Application Form UGC NET June 2024 cycle”.
  • A new page will open. Now, on the left panel, click on the button “New Registration”.
  • An instruction page will be displayed. Read it and click on the ‘checkbox’ present at the bottom of the page. Next, click on the button “Click Here To Proceed“.
  • The registration page will open. Enter the personal details, such as the name of candidates, mother’s name, father’s name, date of birth, etc. Enter the contact details like address, mobile number, email ID, etc.
  • Once candidates have filled in all the required details, enter the security pin and click on “Submit”.
  • After successful submission of the details, an Application Number and Password will be generated. The details will be sent to the candidate’s mobile number and email ID. Note it down for future reference.

Step 2: Complete the UGC NET Application Form

  • Once candidates have registered with NTA, he/she will need to log in to their account using the login credentials – Application Number and Password. 
  • Following that, candidates must click the Complete Application Form button.
  • Start filling out the remaining information in the online application form. The following information must be entered into the UGC NET application form:

  • After filling in all of the details, applicants must click the Submit button and review the information entered in the form. 
  • After that, click the Final Submit button.

Step 3: Upload Images and Signature

Following that, applicants must upload their scanned images and signatures in accordance with the specifications outlined in the table below. JPEG format is required for scanned images and signatures.

Step 4: Pay UGC NET Application Fee

  • After completing the upload of images, the next step is to pay the application fee.
  • Candidates need to pay the fees via online mode only.
  • Choose one of the online payment methods available and pay the fee by entering all the required details.

Step 5: Download the Confirmation Page

When the application fee is successfully paid, a confirmation page is generated. Candidates must print at least four copies of the confirmation page for future reference. Following that, the UGC NET 2024 application process will be completed.
