UP MBBS Counselling 2021: The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Lucknow, will conduct the first round of UP NEET MBBS counselling soon. The counselling dates are yet to be notified by the officials, it will be notified as soon as the NEET results are declared. Only those candidates who have qualified for the NEET entrance test and have their names on the merit list are eligible for UP NEET UG counselling. UP NEET Counselling is conducted to allot seats to shortlisted candidates in different participating medical institutes of Uttar Pradesh. 

After the release of the UP NEET merit list, candidates will have to go for document verification at the allotted centres. Then, the shortlisted candidates will have to attend UP MBBS Counselling 2021. Candidates can check below the detailed information about  UP NEET Counselling.

What Is UP MBBS Counselling 2021?

The counselling of UP MBBS is held for admission to medical courses- MBBS, BDS offered by the state institutes on the basis of marks secured in NEET. Uttar Pradesh MBBS counselling is held for admission to institutes including Government and Private Medical Colleges. 

Who Is Eligible To Appear For UP NEET Counselling?

In order to appear for UP MBBS counselling, candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. To appear for Uttar Pradesh MBBS/BDS counselling, candidates must have qualified in the NEET 2021 entrance exam.
2. They must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the exam conducting body. 
3. Also, candidates must have submitted the form and verified all the required documents.

UPNEET Counselling 2021: Detailed Procedure 

Here we have listed the NEET UG UP Counselling process in detail:

Registration

All aspirants who wish to participate in the NEET UG UP counselling process must register on upneet.gov.in. A one-time registration is required for all the rounds of counselling and candidates must pay Rs. 2000 as registration fee through credit/debit card or net banking.

Filling up of choices:

All the shortlisted candidates will have to log in with the credentials like the NEET roll number and password they created during registration. After login, a list of colleges will be displayed on the screen. The candidates will have to choose colleges from the list as per their choice.
Also, the institutes which have been already selected can be deleted and interchanged. The candidates will have to save their choices after the selection.
After the filling up of choices, the candidates must lock and submit the same before the end date of UP MBBS counselling 2021. The choices which are locked cannot be changed again. Therefore, the candidates are advised to carefully choose their options. 

Deposition of Security Money

Those candidates who have submitted their choices will have to pay a security amount. They can pay the UP MBBS security money via demand draft drawn in favour of Director General, Medical Education & Training, U, payable at the nodal office in Lucknow. The security money will be refunded after the completion of the admission procedure. 

If the candidate wants to appear for only government colleges’ counselling,n they must pay Rs.30,000. Or if the candidate wishes to appear for the counselling meant for admission in private medical colleges, then they will have to pay Rs. 2,00,00. 

If the candidate wants to participate in the counselling for both government and private colleges, they will have to pay Rs. 2,00,000.

Also, if the candidate fails to report to the college where the candidate has been allotted a seat or withdraws admission then the security money submitted by the candidate will not be returned. 

UP MBBS Seat Allotment

After the deposition of security money, candidates will be allotted seats as per their rank and choice filled by them. The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) will release the college-wise allotment list for all the qualified candidates. Also, the reservation policy of the Government will be kept under consideration during the allotment. 

Reporting At The Allotted College

All those candidates who have been allotted seats through UP NEET  Counselling must report at the allotted colleges. Candidates will have to carry all the relevant documents on the prescribed date and time in order to get admission in UP MBBS/BDS college. Those who fail to report within the specified dates will not be considered eligible for the further Uttar Pradesh MBBS admission process.

2. Printout of Uttar Pradesh MBBS application form.
3. Result of UP MBBS counselling.
4. Class 10th certificate and marksheet.
5. Class 12th certificate and marksheet.
6. Valid ID Proof.
7. Domicile certificate.
8. Permanent Residence Certificate.
9. Caste certificate (if applicable).
10. Any other prescribed certificate.
