WBJEE 2024 Exam Pattern

The WBJEE exam pattern provides essential information regarding the entrance examination for which a candidate is preparing. The WBJEE examination is to be conducted in two shifts in April 2024. Paper 1 (Mathematics) will be conducted in the morning shift, and Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) will be conducted in the afternoon shift. Note: There will be a deduction of marks for answering questions incorrectly; however, please note that the deduction depends on the category of questions. For marking questions incorrectly in category I, 1/4th mark will be deducted. 1/2 mark will be deducted for answering questions incorrectly in category II. WBJEE 2024 Marking Scheme

There is a category-wise division of the question In the WBJEE 2024 examination. Following are detailed descriptions of 3 categories in the examination:

1st Category

1. Out of four, only one option is correct.
2. For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded, and 0.25 will be deducted for the incorrect one.
3. No marks( (zero) will be deducted for every unattempted question.

2nd Category

1. Out of four, only one option is correct.
2. Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer, and 0.5 marks will be deducted for incorrect.
3. Leaving an unanswered question will deduct zero marks.

3rd Category

1. More than one option may be correct in this category.
2. Two marks for every correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect answer.
3. For partially correct responses- 2 X ( correct options marked + total no. of correct options).
4. No marks( (zero) will be deducted for every unattempted question.

WBJEE Counselling Date 2023

The WBJEEB announced the dates for the WBJEE counselling process. It started the counselling on July 20, and registrations for the same will end on July 25, 2023. Candidates may find the proposed schedule for WBJEE counselling 2023 for more details.

WBJEE Exam 2024 Time Schedule

Along with releasing the WBJEE exam date in 2023, WBJEEB announced the schedule for both papers of WBJEE. Candidates who wanted to take up the WBJEE 2023 had to be present at the exam centre as per the exam schedule announced by the conducting authority. WBJEE exam has two papers, and both are conducted in offline mode in two shifts. WBJEE 2024 Important Instructions for Candidates

1. Candidates who want to get admission to B.Tech courses through WBJEE 2024 must focus on properly preparing for the exam and give the final touch to their exam preparation before the exam. They should stay updated on the WBJEE exam dates.
2. Candidates need to check all the criteria mentioned in the prescribed eligibility criteria and ensure their eligibility before applying. Only candidates who have submitted the WBJEE application forms and received their admit cards will be able to attempt the test. Candidates should note that they should take a printout of the WBJEE hall ticket 2024 after they have downloaded it. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the hard copy of the admit card of WBJEE 2024 to the exam venue when they appear at the exam hall to take the test.
