Tie-breaking Criteria of WBJEE 2025

If two or more candidates have obtained the same marks, the authorities will allot ranks to the candidates by following a tie-breaking method. The tie-breaking criteria are given below in order of preference in which it will be followed:

• The candidate who scored lesser negative and more positive marks, collectively in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, will get a higher rank.
• Furthermore, candidates with more positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry counted together will be allotted a higher rank.
• If the tie remains, candidates with fewer negative marks collectively in Mathematics and Physics will get a higher rank.
• Next, the collective marks scored by candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry will be given preference.
• Candidates scoring more positively on the 2 marks questions Mathematics will get a higher rank.
• Candidates who score more positive marks on the 2 marks questions Physics will get a higher rank.
• Candidates who score more positively on the 2 marks questions of Chemistry will get a higher rank.
• Candidates who get fewer negative marks for the 2 marks questions of Mathematics get a higher rank.
• Candidates who get fewer negative marks for the 2 marks questions in Physics get a higher rank.
• Candidates who get fewer negative marks for the 2 marks questions of Chemistry get a higher rank.
• The older candidate will be awarded a higher rank if the tie persists despite all these parameters.

WBJEE Counselling Process 2025

To attend the WBJEE counselling process, candidates must clear the WBJEE 2025 cut-off, as the WBJEE Board determines. The counselling fee is waived for WBJEE 2025 rank holders. For each round of WBJEE counselling, new registrations will be permitted. The virtual reporting centres will verify all the uploaded documents.

Aspirants have to register online and participate in the counselling process. Please note that various colleges and universities will be selected based on ranks obtained in the exam.
