HTET Syllabus 2025: The Haryana Board of School Education conducts the Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) to recruit candidates for teaching Secondary, Elementary and Upper Secondary classes in the government schools of the state. The board released the HTET 2025 notification on September 16, 2025.

The HTET application process has been started from 04 November 2024, and the last date to submit the application form was 15 November 2024. The exam will be held on 8th and 9th February 2025. Before starting the HTET exam preparation, it is important for the candidates to know the complete details about the HTET exam pattern. HTET Syllabus 2025

• Child Development and Pedagogy: Child growth, heredity and environment, multi-dimensional intelligence, language & thought, socialization processes, gender roles, assessment & evaluation, gender bias and creativity, formulating appropriate questions, differently-abled learners, educational practice, understanding children’s ‘errors’, child-centred education, Progressive education, critical perspectives of Kohlberg, Piaget, and Vygotsky, the process of learning and teaching, motivation and learning.
• Language Hindi: विशेषण, उपसर्ग एवं प्रत्यय, पर्यायवाची, विपरीपार्थक, अनेकार्थक, संज्ञा,सर्वनाम ,समानार्थी शब्द, वचन, तत्सम, तद्भव, लिंग, वाक्य निर्माण (सरल, संयुक्त एवं मिश्रित वाक्य), मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्तियाँ, क्रिया, अलंकार, सन्धि, समास, देशज एवं विदेशी शब्द.
• Language English: Articles, Punctuation, Pronoun, Modal, Voice, Adverb, Tenses, Vocabulary, Narration, Adjective, Verb, Idioms & phrases, Preposition, Antonym & Synonyms.
• Quantitative Aptitude: Number System, Profit & loss, Fractions, Ratio and Proportion, Time & Work, Algebra, Mensuration, Understanding Elementary Shapes (2-D and 3-D), problem on age, average, Percentage, speed distance & time, SI & CI.
• Reasoning: Analogies, Syllogism, Similarities, space visualization, arithmetical reasoning, problem-solving, figure classification, Blood Relation, Logical Reasoning.
• Haryana GK: Haryana districts, culture, food, folk dance, stadium, and all historical places etc., as per the candidate’s level. 
• Mathematics: Data Interpretation, Simplification, Fractions, L.C.M., Number Systems, H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Decimals, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Average, Discount, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Simple & Compound Interest, Tables & Graphs, Mensuration, and Geometry as per the level of a candidate. 
• Environmental Studies: Food, The World of the Living, Sources, Materials, Natural Phenomena, Components of food, how things work, Moving Things, People and Ideas, Magnets, Electric current and circuits, Natural Resources.

HTET Exam Pattern 2025

HTET written test is conducted for all three levels. The exam pattern for all the three-level is mentioned below:

• The number of questions: A total of 150 questions will be asked in HTET
• Total marks: A total of 150 marks are distributed in the HTET exam
• Type of questions: Objective MCQs
• Total duration: Two and a half hours
• Mode of exam: Offline (OMR based)
• Negative marking: There will be no negative marking scheme in the HTET exam
• Sectional timing/cutoffs: No
