How Can I Check NEET Score Card 2022?

NTA authorities released the NEET Rank card on September 7, 2022, via online mode. Below is a list of following steps that all the candidates must follow to get the NEET result for this year:

  • 1st Step: Visit the NTA official website – ntaneet.nic.in.

How to Calculate NEET Exam Score 2022?

Candidates can calculate their NEET score by comparing the NEET Answer Key with their responses. Knowing the NEET 2022 marking scheme will help to calculate the NEET exam score.

  • For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded.
  • For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from the total score.
  • No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
  • Physics and Chemistry carry 180 marks each, whereas the Biology section is for 360 marks.
  • Total marks = 180 MCQs X 4 = 720 Marks

The formula to calculate the NEET score is as follows:

NEET Score = (Number of Correct Attempts X 4) – (Number of Incorrect Attempts X 1)

The NEET calculated score is the raw score, and these scores are converted to NEET percentile scores. After that, the All India Ranks and category ranks are prepared.

What Is NEET Percentile Score?

The NEET percentile score is used to prepare the NEET rank list needed for NTA NEET 2022 results. The NEET percentile is the candidate’s performance in comparison to other students. The percentile score tells you the percentage of students (of the total number of students who appeared for the exam) who scored less than or equal to that particular percentile in the NEET exam. NTA NEET Result 2022: Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in NEET 2022, the following procedure will be adopted to resolve the tie between them:

  • Biology Score: Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be considered.
  • Chemistry Score: Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry.
  • The Number of Incorrect Answers: Candidates with less number of attempted incorrect answers in all the subjects will be considered.
  • Age Criteria: If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

What After NEET Result 2022?

NTA authorities have issued the NEET counselling notification on the official webpage. Candidates participating in the State Quota NEET counselling process must register themselves with the state counselling authority.

Know the important points related to the NEET counselling process below:

  • Candidates who qualified as per the NEET result 2022 and whose names will be on the merit list (after registering with the state counselling authority) will be eligible for NEET counselling.
  • The rank list for 15% of All India Quota seats and seats in deemed and central universities will be released by MCC.
  • For state quota seats, candidates must refer to the respective state counselling authority and follow the guidelines.
