NEET Result 2022: The National Testing Agency or NTA will release the NEET result anytime soon. NTA NEET Report Card: NEET Answer Key 2022

The official answer key for NEET 2022 will be out 10-15 days (tentatively) after the exam. Candidates can go through the answer keys and calculate their exam scores by comparing the keys with their responses. Here are some of the important points to note:

  • NTA releases NEET answer keys and response sheets on the official website.
  • Candidates can use the answer key to calculate their NEET score and submit their objections, if any, through online mode as per schedule.
  • Rs. 1000/- for every question objection will be charged as a fee. However, if the authority finds the objections to be valid, the payment will be refunded to the candidates.

How to Calculate NEET Exam Score and Rank 2022?

Candidates can calculate their NEET score by comparing the NEET answer key with their responses. Knowing the NEET 2022 marking scheme will help to calculate the NEET exam score.

  • For every correct answer, 4 marks are awarded.
  • For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from the total score.
  • No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
  • Physics and Chemistry carry 180 marks each, whereas the Biology section is for 360 marks.
  • Total marks = 180 MCQs X 4 = 720 Marks

The formula to calculate the NEET score is as follows:

NEET Score = (Number of Correct Attempts X 4) – (Number of Incorrect Attempts X 1)

The NEET calculated score is the raw score, and these scores are converted to NEET percentile scores. After that, the All India Ranks and category ranks are prepared.

What Is NEET Percentile Score?

NEET percentile score is used to prepare the NEET rank list that is needed for NTA NEET results 2022. The NEET percentile is the candidate’s performance in comparison to other students. The percentile score tells you the percentage of students (of the total number of students who appeared for the exam) who scored less than or equal to that particular percentile in the NEET exam. NTA NEET Result 2022: Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks in NEET 2022, the following procedure will be adopted to resolve the tie between them:

  • Biology Score: Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be considered.
  • Chemistry Score: Candidate obtaining higher marks in Chemistry.
  • The Number of Incorrect Answers: Candidates with less number of attempted incorrect answers in all the subjects will be considered.
  • Age Criteria: If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate older in age will be given preference.

What After NEET Result 2022?

Once the NEET Result is out on the NEET UG 2022 result date, the NEET counselling will commence for All India Quota and State Quota seats. After the counselling dates are out, candidates must register for the counselling process. Candidates participating in the State Quota NEET Counselling process will register themselves with the state counselling authority. Post the counselling registration, the officials will release the NEET Rank List/Merit List.


NEET Exam Result: Merit List

NTA will prepare a centralised NEET merit list after the announcement of the NEET 2022 exam result. Merit list is prepared for 15% All India seats and 85% state quota seats. However, states will prepare their merit list based on AIR and the candidate’s category. The NEET state-wise merit list is released on the respective state’s counselling websites. Afterwards, candidates can check the rank list and proceed with counselling.
