NEET State-wise Rank List: For seats to be filled by qualified students during the NEET Counselling process, the state counselling agencies will release a NEET state-wise rank list. Highlights of NEET 2023 State-wise Rank List

  • It should be observed that the state rank list is released after the NEET results are announced.
  • Before starting the state-level allotment procedure, states such as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will give a list of candidates graduating from Class 12 in their respective states. The list will be compiled using information given by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
  • States such as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will provide a list of candidates graduating Class 12 from their respective states before starting the state-level allotment procedure.

NEET Tie-Breaking Criteria 2024

National Medical Commission (NMC) brings a new rule for tie-breaking criteria to be effective from 2024. According to NMC, if two or more candidates receive the same score in the admission examination, the tie-breaking conditions listed below will be used.

  • The candidate with the highest score in Physics, followed by Chemistry and then Biology (Botany + Zoology), will be given first priority and will be assigned a higher rank on the NEET 2024 state merit list.
