UGC NET Result 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the UGC NET June Cycle 2024 exam result soon. Moreover, the result for June 2024 result link will be updated on this page for candidates’ convenience. The result will be published after the successful conduction of the online test from June 16, 2024. Candidates who appear for the exam can check their results online on the official website, i.e., ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Furthermore, they can download it from the direct link updated on this page. Steps To Practice UGC NET Paper 1 Questions on Embibe

Follow the below-mentioned steps to practice unlimited UGC NET Paper 1 questions on Embibe:

  • 1st Step: Visit Embibe’s official website, i.e., embibe.com.
  • 2nd Step: Use the mobile number/email to log in.
  • 3rd Step: Click on the menu bar “Getting a Government Job” 
  • 4th Step: Select the Goal “Lecturership” from the Dropdown and click on “Next”.
  • 5th Step: Search and Select “UGC NET Paper 1” on the search bar and click “Next”.
  • 6th Step: Select the preferred language and click “Done”.
  • 7th Step: Click “Practice” from the Header Section.
  • 8th Step: Scroll down to the “Subjects” section.
  • 9th Step: Click on any UGC NET Paper 1 subjects.
  • 10th Step: Scroll down to click on the chapters from the selected subject to begin the practice.

How to Download UGC NET 2024 Scorecard?

NTA announce the UGC NET Result online only. Candidates can find the steps given below to check and download the scorecard:

  • 1st Step: Visit the official website of UGC NETugcnet.nta.nic.in/.
  • 2nd Step: On the home page, click on the link to check the ‘UGC NET Scorecard’.
  • 3rd Step: On the result page, enter your ‘Application Number‘, ‘Date of Birth‘ and ‘Security Pin‘. Click on the ‘Submit‘ button
  • 4th Step: NTA UGC NET Result will be displayed on the screen. Download NTA UGC National Eligibility Test Scorecard for further reference.

The result will also specify the normalised scores. Normalisation is done to adjust the difficulty level of the National Eligibility Test paper and candidates’ answers in different sessions.

The UGC NET Scorecard contains paper-wise marks, overall marks, and percentages obtained by the candidate. Based on the score in the result, candidates can know their qualifying status for JRF and Assistant Professor.

UGC NET Normalisation Procedure

UGC National Eligibility Test Result is prepared with the help of raw and percentile scores. Refer to the formula given below to calculate UGC NET normalized percentiles:

Let TP1 be the percentile Total Raw Score of that candidate.

Total Percentile (TP1) = 100 X no. of candidates who appeared from the session with a raw score equal to or less than T1 score/ Total No. of candidates who appeared in the session

Shortlisting Candidates for UGC NET

  • Assistant Professor: The NTA officials shortlist the top 6% of candidates for Assistant Professor posts.
  • Junior Fellowship: The officials also shortlist candidates eligible for JRF and Assistant Professor posts.

The normalisation procedure to calculate the Junior Fellowship eligibility is as below:

Total Slots in General Category of JRF = (Number of candidates opted for eligibility for Assistant Professor in that subject X Number of slots available under General category) / Total number of general candidates who have opted for JRF and are qualified for eligibility for an Assistant Professor.

UGC NET Document Verification 2024

The authorities will call all the qualified candidates for document verification. Candidates must carry the following documents for the same:

  • Bank draft, as mentioned in the UGC NET notification
  • Caste certificate signed by the authorised authority (if applicable)
  • Counselling letter (Photocopy and original)
  • 4 to 6 black and white passport-size photographs
  • Medical documents mentioned on the UGC NET Application Form
  • Original and photocopy of 12th Class
  • Original and photocopy of UGC NET admit card
  • Provisional certificate and original degree certificate of the candidate
  • Rank card/scorecard
  • 10th class certificate original with at least 2 photocopies

UGC NET Certificate 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue an e-certificate and JRF award letters one month after the announcement of the UGC NET Result. The conducting authorities will activate the link, allowing candidates to download their certificates.

Following the above, all qualified candidates may apply for Assistant Professor positions at Indian universities and colleges. Candidates who pass the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam can research their chosen topic.
