XAT Exam 2023: The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) started online registrations for XAT 2023 on August 10, 2022. The officials started the registration online on its official website. Thus, interested candidates can apply online for XAT at xatonline.in. Furthermore, they can also access the XAT application form through the link updated in this article. XAT Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the XAT must be sure of the eligibility criteria for acceptance of their application forms. The following are the XAT eligibility criteria: 

  • Education Criteria: Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree of three years or equivalent from any well-reputed university or institute.
  • Stream: The bachelor’s degree (Graduation) may be in any discipline/stream. Applicants who are in the final year of graduation can also apply for the XAT exam.
  • Qualifying marks: There is no specific CGPA or percentage that has to be obtained by the applicant.
  • Age limit: There is no age bar for candidates to appear in XAT 2023 exam.
  • Foreign candidates: Candidates will get admission through GMAT Score.
  • Citizenship: Indian or NRI

XAT Registration 2023

The XAT registration process is the first and foremost step to applying for the XAT exam. XLRI will start the registration process in the coming months. XAT applicants must fill out the online application form and pay the fees to register for the exam.

Eligible candidates must ensure that they submit the application form successfully with the application fee. The eligible candidates can fill out the application form from the official website or check the direct link provided below. Check all the steps mentioned below for XAT registration 2023.

How to Apply Online for XAT?

  • Firstly, visit the official site of XAT and select the option to fill the registration form given there. 
  • Candidates are advised to carefully fill the form and verify the details that are filled in the online application form. The candidate must enter all the liable details as no change will be possible after clicking on the final submission.
  • Now, enter the required information asked in there like name and contact details to register. 
  • After that, the server will send login credentials to the candidates through SMS or email on the registered phone number or email ID.
  • Now, log in again to the website and complete the XAT registration form by providing personal details, academic details, and professional details.
  • After entering the required detail, the candidates will need to select XLRI programmes (optional) and select the exam centre as per their choice.
  • After that, the candidates must upload scanned photographs and signatures as per the format mentioned there.

XAT Registration Fee

The candidates need to now make payment of the application fee as per the fee details. The candidates opt to pay the fee using any of the online modes of payment like Credit Cards, Debit Cards (RuPay / Visa / Master Card / Maestro), and Internet Banking. As the XAT registration process is conducted in two stages, the first stage is the ‘Early’ stage, and the second is the ‘Late’ application stage, and the application fee for the late stage is higher. XAT Application Form Correction

Candidates who wish to change the test city preference must write to the exam conducting authority by mentioning the XAT exam ID, Father’s name, birth date, chosen exam city, and updated exam city that is mentioned by XLRI. The XAT exam application correction facility is available only once per candidate. Change of test city option is provisional, but the exam conducting body will decide on the change of exam centre, i.e. XLRI.

XAT Exam Syllabus 2023

The XAT syllabus is prescribed by XLRI on the official website. XAT exam syllabus has been revised, and the essay writing section has been dropped this year. The XAT exam syllabus consists of four sections that involve Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Decision making, logical & verbal ability & General awareness.   • Verbal and Logical Ability- Jumbled paragraph, Reading comprehension, Vocabulary, Para Jumble, Critical Reasoning, Sentence correction, Completion of sentences, Fill in the blanks with a suitable answer

For better preparation for the exam, the candidates need to follow some preparation tips. 

  • Firstly, the candidates should make a timetable to study daily; timetable will help the candidate to make the estimate which particular subject will take more or less time, and from the timetable, the candidate can efficiently occupy the time

XAT Admit Card 2023

XLRI will release the XAT admit card for the XAT exam 2022-23 online on its official website. Only those candidates can download the XAT admit card who have submitted the application form successfully. We advise the candidates to note the XAT admit card release date and download their XAT hall ticket as soon as it is out.

  • Click on that link

  • After that, the XAT Admit Card will be available on your screen.

Details Mentioned on XAT Admit Card

The XAT admit card will contain all the details related to the entrance exam. Details mentioned on the XAT hall ticket will include:

  • Candidate’s name
  • XAT ID
  • Candidate’s roll number
  • Photograph of candidate
  • Candidate’s signature
  • XAT exam centre name and address
  • XAT exam date
  • Reporting time
  • Exam day instructions and guidelines

The candidate must also paste one photograph on the admit card. The photograph must be the same as that is pasted on the application form. Applicants must keep a copy of admit card until the entire admission process gets over.

XAT Result 2023

XLRI Jamshedpur will announce the result in online mode only. All candidates who will appear in the Xavier Aptitude Exam (XAT) will be able to check their XAT results using their login information, for example, (User ID and Password). All applicants will be able to download the XAT 2023 scorecard by visiting the official website. XAT results will contain sectional and overall percentile.

As soon as the XAT result is declared, qualified candidates must check the cut-off and can then appear for GD, WAT & PI rounds based on the result. The XAT result will determine the candidate’s status if they get selected in the placement test.

What After XAT Result?

Applicants must keep scorecards and results for reference until the procedure of admission gets completed. Scores of XAT will be used by all XLRI campuses and also for 160 B-Schools that offer management courses. XAT 2023 result will serve as a screening test. The candidates will be shortlisted for the selection procedure that mainly comprises GD, WAT & PI based on the XAT result.

XAT Cut-off 2023

The XAT cut-off is the minimum mark that is required by aspirants to get admission to the top B-Schools. XAT cut-off will be announced in the last week of January 2023 (tentative). Applicants who manage to meet the cut-off score will be shortlisted for the exam. Applicants who meet the cut-off range will have to appear for a further round of selection procedure, i.e. group discussion, written ability test, and personal interview round.

The cut-off score is determined by the following factors:

  • The difficulty level of the exam
  • The number of candidates who appeared for the exam
  • Availability of seats
  • Previous year cutoff

XAT Counselling 2023

Aspirants who qualify for the XAT cutoff will be eligible to appear for XAT 2023 counselling. For participating in the XAT counseling, applicants will have to first register for the counselling process by entering the login credentials by visiting the official website. Applicants must pay the counselling fee. More than 160 institutes participate in XAT 2023 counselling procedure. Candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps for registration for the same:

  • Visit the official website of XAT.
  • Enter the login credentials.
  • Make the counselling fee payment.
  • After the registration is done, applicants will have to choose and lock their preferred specified course in the institute.
  • Final allotment of seats is done on the basis of the choice filled by the candidate.

XAT Selection Procedure 2023

XAT Counseling begins after the completion of the XAT test and the declaration of results and XAT cutoff. Competitors who meet the cutoff will be able to participate in the counselling that includes GD and PI process. XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test) is a public level administration selection test led by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programs.
